Time-Traveling Love

Suddenly, she envisioned a distant ancient time, where heaven and earth were shrouded in a haze, the sky not like the sky, the earth not like the earth, with wildfires burning everywhere, rivers flowing fiercely, and chaos all around. Mo Xie, tasked with opening up the world, visited her chamber before departing. Zi Yue was dressing in front of the mirror in the Purple Star Palace, her beautiful face reflected in the mirror. The beauty in the mirror was stunningly gorgeous, full of grace and charm, capable of enchanting countless men. Zi Yue saw Mo Xie approaching from outside through the mirror and gazed at him affectionately. Mo Xie came up behind her, pulling her up from the stool. “Zi Yue,” Mo Xie turned her body to face him, gently touching her red lips with his fingers before kissing her lightly. “Nüwa has tasked me with creating the world, balancing all things, and harmonizing the five elements.” “Go, Mo Xie,” Zi Yue nestled in Mo Xie’s embrace, reluctant to part. “Zi Yue, wait for me,” Mo Xie embraced her, his heart filled with tender affection, unwilling to leave. “I will wait for you.” “Come, follow me, Zi Yue,” Mo Xie said, holding her hand. Mo Xie led Zi Yue out of the Purple Star Palace, where the air was thick with an ominous energy, rushing towards them from all directions. Mo Xie brandished his sword, driving the dark energy far away from the palace, creating a circle of light around it to shield it with righteousness. He knelt with Zi Yue, praying to the unseen forces, “I, Mo Xie, love only Zi Yue, and we will be together forever.” Zi Yue, kneeling beside him, looked at this extraordinary man, her life’s greatest love. She loved him, and would love only him for all eternity. She followed Mo Xie in prayer, beseeching the gods to bring Mo Xie back soon. “Wait for me,” Mo Xie said, reluctantly letting go of Zi Yue’s hands, placing them on his chest, feeling his beating heart. “Mo Xie,” Zi Yue’s eyes filled with tears as she buried her face in his embrace. The pain of parting was too much. Mo Xie lifted her face, kissed her deeply, then pushed her away, turning abruptly to leave without looking back, striding away with large steps. Zi Yue, standing outside the Purple Star Palace, watched his figure recede with tearful eyes. Leaning against the palace’s colonnade, she longed for her beloved’s swift return.
