Yandere Begs for a Break – Part One

“No, boss, you’re not thinking of having the brothers participate, right? Even if you find this fresh, let’s pretend those prison guards don’t exist,” the fat man said anxiously. “Why should we from the sixth district perform when the fifth district is sitting below?”

No one is inferior to anyone else. Why should they serve the fifth district?

“So, why not let them sign up too?” Yue Linze chuckled lightly.

The fat man laughed absurdly, “How is that possible? Li Xun is all about saving face. He definitely won’t let his people come out and embarrass themselves.”

“Who can say for sure? Maybe he actually wants to participate,” Yue Linze stretched lazily and walked forward indifferently.

The fat man’s footsteps slowed for a moment. He looked at Yue Linze suspiciously, wondering if his boss wanted to participate because of that pretty-boy prison guard from earlier.

A ridiculous guess suddenly emerged in his mind. Because it was too absurd, he quickly shook his head to dismiss the thought and rushed to catch up with Yue Linze, saying, “We’ll sign up, but there’s one thing…”

“Let the fifth district sign up first, right?” Yue Linze looked at him with a half-smile. “Do I even need to say that?”

The fat man chuckled, “Right, if anyone’s going to chicken out, let them do it first.”

Because of the tacit understanding between the two districts, Tao Yu knew that going to find Li Xun would be futile, so she simply skipped her shift and went back to her dormitory to sleep.

When Tao Yu woke up, it was already dark. She looked at the time and realized she had only five minutes before her cafeteria patrol. She quickly sat up, suddenly struck by a headache.

She found a thermometer from the drawer and checked her temperature – 37 degrees, just above the low-fever warning line. As a diligent and dedicated prison guard, she decisively called Old Chang, exaggerating her condition, and then lay back down to continue sleeping.

She had intended to get a good rest, but fate had other plans. Just as she was about to fall asleep, a knock came at the door. She didn’t want to respond, but the knocking seemed relentless. Reluctantly, she opened her eyes and asked with a hint of irritation, “Who is it?”
