Yue Linze remained silent as the housekeeper pushed him to the rehabilitation room. When he reached the door, it was exactly 2:10. He looked at his watch, and the housekeeper immediately said, “Dr. Tao needed to change clothes, so being late is possible. Let’s wait a moment.”
This doctor could make the sir cooperate with rehabilitation, so he would do anything to keep her.
Yue Linze glanced at him. Before the housekeeper could say more pleading words, the door opened from inside, and Tao Yu smiled calmly: “Mr. Yue, please come in.”
Yue Linze glanced at her now more pronounced chest and silently entered the room. The housekeeper smiled at Tao Yu and closed the door from outside.
Tao Yu took a moment to calm her heart still racing from running, and smiled as she walked to Yue Linze’s side: “Mr. Yue, shall I help you to the sofa?”
Yue Linze glanced at her, remembering her struggling on the sofa earlier, and coldly said, “No need.”
Tao Yu paused, then sat opposite him and smiled: “Then let me explain our rehabilitation process…”
Grumble.
Tao Yu took a deep breath and looked sincerely at Yue Linze: “Sorry, I didn’t eat much at lunch today.”
A hint of mockery flashed in Yue Linze’s eyes. He casually pressed a few numbers on the nearby landline, which was quickly answered by the housekeeper: “Sir, what’s wrong?”
“Bring some food,” Yue Linze said coldly and pressed the red button.
Tao Yu laughed awkwardly, thinking this person was somewhat decent, at least providing some compensation after troubling her.
Soon, she retracted that thought, expressionlessly watching Yue Linze elegantly dining in front of her.
After putting the last piece of steak in his mouth, Yue Linze slowly put down his knife and fork, looking up at her: “One last chance. Do you want to resign?”
“Of course not,” Tao Yu forced a smile.
“No salary, obedient, enduring humiliation,” Yue Linze scoffed, his face completely indifferent, “Who’s behind you?”
His tone suddenly changed, his gaze like a sharp sword piercing Tao Yu, who twitched her mouth, knowing what was coming had finally arrived.
