Yandere Begs for a Break – Part One

Tao Yu blushed, feeling she was being paranoid, thinking that just because the alternate personality liked her, the main personality was interested too. She finished the food the butler brought, feeling about 80% full. Looking at the steaming soy milk, she was sure drinking it would make her completely full.

She took a sip of the fragrant soy milk, feeling refreshed in every pore. Looking at Yue Linze, she asked curiously, “Why did you have the butler prepare soy milk for me?”

“Just out of prison, to dispel bad luck. Without tofu, soy milk will do,” Yue Linze said casually.

Tao Yu was listening seriously, but her smile gradually stiffened, and a huge fear suddenly rose in her heart: “…Do you have the alternate personality’s memories?”

Yue Linze stared at her for a long time before speaking: “Why do you ask?”

“You just said the same thing as the previous alternate personality,” Tao Yu forced a smile, feeling panicked thinking about her romance with the alternate personality in the patient’s mental world, “Do you have memories?”

“No, I said this because you helped resolve the previous alternate personality who went to prison, so I prepared these,” Yue Linze narrowed his eyes, “Dr. Tao seems very afraid. Would having alternate personality memories be a problem?”

…You’re not the problem, but I am. If you keep pressing, my career as a psychologist might end before it even begins.

Tao Yu calmed herself and smiled: “Of course not. It’s just that such cases are rare, and I’m curious.”

“Disappointing Dr. Tao, I remember nothing,” Yue Linze glanced at her.

Tao Yu nodded: “If Mr. Yue doesn’t mind, now that we’ve eaten, let’s start the treatment.”

“What’s the next personality?” Yue Linze asked. The butler immediately ran to fetch Tao Yu’s files.

Tao Yu glanced at it, her expression suddenly becoming subtle: “…A brothel child.”

“What?” Yue Linze didn’t hear clearly.

Tao Yu coughed: “A child born in a brothel, who because of… good looks, was kept by the madam, always doing odd jobs, prepared to be sold when around fifteen or sixteen. Now he’s about that age.”

Yue Linze’s expression worsened: “Why would there be such an alternate personality?”
