Perhaps due to her overactive brain cells, Tao Yu’s sleep was not peaceful. In her dream, she seemed to hear the sound of metal colliding, and then felt a coolness on her wrist. She struggled to open her eyes but was too tired and fell back asleep after moving a couple times.
Early the next morning, she woke up in a daze and saw a golden bracelet on her right wrist before her consciousness fully cleared.
“Starting to give jewelry already…” Tao Yu, still in a post-sleep haze, said in a hoarse voice while looking at the delicate golden bracelet.
She stared at the table for a while, her gaze gradually becoming clear. She discovered the bracelet was very small, almost no wider than her wrist. Without undoing the clasp, it couldn’t be removed, and a chain as thin as a pinky finger was attached to it.
Following the chain with her eyes, she quickly saw it was tied to the bed railing. Tao Yu was stunned and instinctively shook her right hand with the bracelet, causing the chain to jingle.
It was the same sound she had heard last night.
…So she was now chained up? What happened? Wasn’t everything fine yesterday? Tao Yu looked at the chain connecting her to the bed railing and was completely bewildered.
Just as she thought she had forgotten some crucial information, Yue Linze, wearing a well-tailored suit and leaning on a cane, slowly approached her. His feet made no sound on the thick carpet.
“What exactly is going on?” Tao Yu raised her right hand, forcing a smile.
Yue Linze stared at her for a while before slowly lifting his chin, speaking elegantly and proudly: “You wanted to date me? This is how I date.”
Tao Yu’s smile instantly froze on her face.
Because of the height difference, Tao Yu’s feet left the ground when she was picked up. She instinctively hugged Yue Linze’s neck, about to protest, when Yue Linze blocked her lips.
Unlike Tao Yu’s light kiss, Yue Linze’s kiss was filled with aggression and possessiveness. He bit and ground Tao Yu’s lips, quickly hearing her cry of pain.
However, he did not stop. Instead, he pressed her against the wall, kissing her even more forcefully.
