Candidates for Mrs. CEO

After Shao Pinxi got in the car, Huo Junren took out a small first aid kit.

The kit, placed there by his sister Huo Yawu out of concern for her brother, now proved useful.

“Give me your hand,” Huo Junren said in a low voice.

This time, Shao Pinxi didn’t argue, obediently extending her bleeding arm.

Seeing the blood-red wound up close, Huo Junren’s thin lips pressed even tighter, and a hint of barely perceptible tenderness seemed to flash across his icy handsome face.

Disinfecting the wound with antiseptic solution, a pure white gauze gently wrapped around the injury. Throughout the entire bandaging process, although Huo Juren’s handsome face remained tense, his movements were incredibly gentle.

Shao Pingxi watched him the entire time, her eyes revealing a hint of confusion and bewilderment.

She felt that she did not understand Huo Juren.

Sometimes, he seemed like a death god who had emerged from the depths of hell, only capable of inflicting pain on her; yet at other times, he was like a guardian who cherished and protected her…

She began to not know which version was the real him.

After finishing the bandaging, Huo Juren tossed the first aid kit aside.

“Fasten your seatbelt, I’m going to drive,” he sat up straight, looking ahead.

Originally, Huo Juren had a series of revenge plans, but her unexpected injury had dampened his mood.

Tonight, let’s end it here! After all, there will be plenty of opportunities in the future.

Chapter Three – Three Days Later.

“Mr. Huo, Miss Shao is here. Would you like to see her?” the secretary asked respectfully through the intercom.

“Let her in.”

“Yes, Mr. Huo.” The secretary cut the intercom and smiled at the visiting Shao Pingxi. “Miss Shao, Mr. Huo requests your presence.”

“Thank you.” She uttered a faint word of thanks and walked towards the CEO’s office.

After politely knocking, Shao Pingxi silently opened the door.

With steady steps, she walked unhurriedly towards Huo Juren.

Huo Juren was reviewing documents, seemingly completely unaware of Shao Pingxi’s entrance.

“Mr. Huo, I’m here,” she spoke, reminding him.

His signing hand suddenly paused, and his sharp gaze shot directly at her.

“You’re punctual,” Huo Juren raised a smile that was neither a smile nor not.
