Shao Pingxi trembled slightly, as if pricked by something, and her footsteps came to an abrupt halt.
“Pingxi?” The male colleague who had just exited the building with her noticed her unusual state.
“It’s nothing,” she smiled faintly.
Witnessing her smile at another man, Huo Juren’s thick eyebrows darkened.
The light smile on her beautiful face vanished the moment she caught sight of Huo Juren.
Instantly, a bone-chilling cold feeling surged from her feet, rushing directly to Shao Pingxi’s forehead.
The nightmare that usually only appeared at night had suddenly emerged in broad daylight, and the shock completely stunned Shao Pingxi.
Knowing she had discovered his presence, Huo Juren revealed a demonic, cold and charming smile.
His icy-like shallow smile made her brain dizzy, and the male colleague beside her quickly supported her.
“Pingxi, are you okay?”
“I’m fine…” she whispered.
Was this an illusion? The man who had toyed with and deceived her over a year ago was actually standing in front of her…
Suddenly, the force supporting her body disappeared, followed by the male colleague’s painful cry.

“Who said you could touch her?” Huo Juren’s face was cold, his large hand tightly gripping the hand of the male colleague that had just been supporting Shao Pingxi.
Without his permission, no one was allowed to touch her! She was his prey, and no one was allowed to touch her!

Instantly, a trembling sensation rose from her feet, rapidly spreading to every part of her body.
Though not her intention, her tone softened:
“Please… let him go, okay? If you don’t, his hand might break.”
Huo Juren glanced at her, and his large hand loosened, causing the male colleague to collapse on the ground.
