Candidates for Mrs. CEO

The owner of the silver-blue sports car seemed to turn his head at the same moment Shao Pinxi noticed him.

The car’s owner was none other than Huo Juren, whom Shao Pinxi knew all too well!

Huo Juren smiled at her, but the smile contained not a trace of goodwill.

“Oh? That man is so handsome!” Passersby by the entrance cast admiring exclamations at Huo Juren.

“Right! I wonder who he’s waiting for!” Their tone was filled with envy and jealousy.

“How lucky is the woman who can make this super wealthy and handsome guy wait for her?” Seeing his sports car, an imported top-tier European model, it was easy to guess how wealthy his family was.

Lucky? Hearing their conversation, Shao Pinxi could only muster a faint smile, almost invisible, yet capable of tugging at every nerve of her heart.

If giving true feelings only resulted in a heart crushed to powder, could that be considered lucky?

Huo Juren stepped out of the car with steady steps, his tall and slender figure causing the women who were already mesmerized by his presence to gasp in admiration.

Shao Pinxi stared directly at Huo Juren, refusing to avoid his gaze, not wanting him to think she was afraid to meet his eyes.

Soon, Huo Juren walked up to Shao Pinxi and, without a word, grabbed her arm, intending to take her with him.

Her eyebrows immediately furrowed, and Shao Pinxi tried to forcefully shake off Huo Juren’s hand.

“Let go of me!” She spoke while struggling.

“Get in the car.” Huo Juren ignored her and issued his command.

What kind of domineering tone was this? Shao Pinxi was even more displeased; she had never been the type of woman to bow down and obediently listen to men.

“Why should I listen to you?” Shao Pinxi glared at him.

Typically, she gave off a cold and aloof impression, her emotions and expressions rarely showing any fluctuation – hence her “ice queen” nickname. But Huo Juren had the ability to make her drop her usual indifference and react with intense responses unlike her usual self.

Huo Juren’s starry eyes coldly met her unruly autumn-water eyes.

“Because this is the first order.” His tone was icy and brooking no argument.

Shao Pinxi was momentarily stunned. “First order?”
