Crazy Smartphone – Part Two

Bewildered, Lin’s mother watched them leave, then, after a moment of contemplation, she stormed into Lin Feng’s now-empty room. Moments later, she rushed out towards the bathroom, banging on the door. “You little rascal! What have you done? Xiao Yun came to help you out of kindness, and you, you, you ungrateful beast, how could you do something so shameful? Come out here! Did you force yourself on Xiao Yun?” Lin Feng cautiously poked his head out. “Mom, it’s not what you think… Ouch! Mom, why are you hitting me?” Lin’s mother unexpectedly hit him on the head with the broom she was holding, still unsatisfied with her vengeance, she raised it to strike again. “Where’s Xiao Yun?” Lin Feng, hurriedly putting on a wet shirt from a bucket, pathetically placed a plastic basin on his head as a makeshift helmet, and squeezed out of the bathroom. Seeing her son in such a pitiful state softened Lin’s mother’s heart, and she threw down the broom in frustration. “You little beast! You scared her off, and now you remember to ask?” Recalling the strange circumstances when her son had fainted, her gaze swept down with suspicion. “She’s gone!” Lin Feng sighed in relief and tried to sneak back to his room. “Stop right there! You owe me an explanation, you reckless child! Xiao Yun’s friend was just outside, and you ran out like that, completely exposed. What if word gets out? How will Xiao Yun face anyone?” Lin’s mother threw something at Lin Feng’s feet, jabbing his forehead with her finger. “Look at what you’ve done! How could I raise such a scoundrel? You’re still in high school, for heaven’s sake!” “What’s the matter? Why are you so angry, Mom?” Lin Feng’s head throbbed from his mother’s “finger zen,” but more than that, he was mortified by his current state, with wet clothes sticking uncomfortably to his skin. “What’s the matter? You dare ask that? You little beast, I’m not senile yet! You think you can deny it? Aren’t you afraid of going to jail?” Lin’s mother raised her hand to strike again but couldn’t bring herself to hit her son hard, lowering her arm in defeat with a long, weary sigh. Lin Feng, noticing his mother’s troubled expression, picked up the item from the floor with suspicion. “Why did you pull my bedsheet out and throw it on the ground, Mom?” He shook it out, revealing a startling patch of fresh, bright red on the sheet. “What’s this blood? I’m not hurt!” “The Bleeding Incident 159!” Lin’s mother, disappointed, jabbed him in the forehead once more. “I’ll take you to see Doctor Wang later. Even though this is a childish matter, adults need to be informed. If they don’t agree, you little beast, you’ll be heading straight to jail!” “Jail? Mom, you’re scaring me! I haven’t done anything wrong!” “You little scoundrel, when did you become so bad? And you won’t even admit it? How could you treat such a nice girl like Xiao Yun this way? Where do you expect me to hide my face now?” Lin’s mother turned around, looking for something more formidable to use as a weapon, but after scanning the kitchen and finding nothing suitable, she raised the broom again.
