At eight o’clock the next morning, Hao Yunyang woke up on time. He took out his phone from under the pillow, looked at the time, and thought for a moment. Yawning, he got up from bed and rummaged through his suitcase, finding the proof note that Wang Chaoqun had given him yesterday. He crawled back into bed and dialed the phone number on the note.
“Manager Wang?” The call was answered after two rings. “It’s Hao Yunyang,” he said.
“What is it?” Wang Chaoqun, who seemed to have just woken up, spoke with a strong sense of drowsiness, his tone heavy.
“Well, I’d like to take the morning off, I have something to do, if that’s okay…” Hao Yunyang spoke carefully and respectfully.
“Time off?” Wang Chaoqun paused, then said, “Wait a moment, let me check if anyone else is off this morning.”
“Okay,” Hao Yunyang quickly agreed.
More than a minute later, Wang Chaoqun said with some difficulty, “Two people from your order team are already off this morning. If you take leave too, we’ll probably be understaffed.”
“But I really have something to do, could you…”
“Then go take care of it,” Wang Chaoqun said.
“Thank you, Manager!” Hao Yunyang thanked him, but Wang Chaoqun said nothing more and hung up directly.
Chapter Thirteen: Genius Liu Ming
Washing up, folding clothes and bedding, and neatly folding the administrator’s clothes and pants, he carried them down to return to the old man. Midway, he received a call from his mother, who said she had spent half the morning queuing to transfer money to Hao Yunyang’s account and asked him to check if it had arrived.
“Wash them,” looking at the neatly arranged clothes and pants, the administrator didn’t say a word of thanks. Instead, to Hao Yunyang’s wide-eyed surprise, he pulled out a bamboo-woven frame from under the bed, filled completely with clothes.
“Sir, what are you doing?” Hao Yunyang’s legs felt weak.
“You said you’d wash them yourself, are you backing out?” The administrator glanced at Hao Yunyang, sitting steadily on the bed’s edge.
“I…” Hao Yunyang was speechless, but looking at the old man’s leg and the cane beside him, he held back his anger and nodded: “I have something to do during the day, I’ll come wash them for you tonight.”
