Future Phone – Part One

“Mm,” the administrator nodded casually, turning his gaze to the TV screen playing Peking Opera, leaving Hao Yunyang standing there.

Encountering such an eccentric, legless old man, Hao Yunyang was truly at a loss. He could only bend down, shoulder the bamboo basket, and turn to leave the old man’s room. The administrator didn’t even look at him, humming along with the TV opera, losing his previous seriousness and gaining the gentleness of an elderly man.

“Damn it!” Before Hao Yunyang even entered the convenience store, he heard Liu’s angry cursing from inside, and from the tone, it seemed he had encountered something frustrating.

“Unappreciative fool!” Looking at the “Not Accepted” displayed on the computer screen, Liu Ming’s face was full of indignation. Switching pages, he looked at the LOGO he had spent hours designing. Liu Ming was extremely upset, but the adoption rights were in the client’s hands. No matter how angry he was, he couldn’t find the client to curse at, so he could only sit in his own space and shout to vent.

“What’s wrong?” Hao Yunyang wasn’t wearing his work clothes today, but had changed into his only casual outfit – a white T-shirt with a Snoopy print, a thin jacket over it, faded jeans, and a pair of seemingly new black travel shoes. As he walked into the convenience store, he saw Liu Ming sitting there, grabbing his hair in silence.

“Come here!” Since it was still early and the store was empty, Liu Ming quickly got up, giving his seat to Hao Yunyang and waving him over: “Help me look at something.”

“What?” Hao Yunyang glanced at Liu Ming, who was still in yesterday’s outfit.

“Come when I tell you to!” Liu Ming was apparently still angry, speaking harshly. Fortunately, Hao Yunyang’s temperament had been tempered to a high level, and he didn’t get angry. He smiled, nodded, and walked over.

“Look at these two LOGOs, which one looks better?” Pushing Hao Yunyang onto the stool, Liu Ming opened two images, switching back and forth before asking, “Which one looks more dignified? More stable?”

“…” Hao Yunyang was a standard blank slate. The two images Liu Ming presented looked the same to him, and he wanted to ask what a LOGO even was.
