“You don’t know yet! Tomorrow’s headline will surprise you. It’s all thanks to you that I have such good luck. Thank you!” Wang Qing said, sounding proud yet somewhat thankful.
“What’s so surprising about a headline? It’s not like I can eat it. Why are you thanking me, Qing Jie? I didn’t take any explosive news recently. I don’t care about it. It’s weird,” Luo Yaling responded.
Suddenly, a phone rang, pulling Luo Yaling from her thoughts. She found her phone, and seeing an unfamiliar number made her suspicious. Should she answer?
Ultimately, she decided to take the call. When she heard the other party’s identity, she was completely stunned.
The cold voice made her shiver.
Luo Yaling hung up the phone and rushed out, ignoring Wang Qing’s calls as urgency consumed her. She hailed a taxi and headed towards Xuanling Group.
His call surprised her. Why would he reach out? Yet, she felt a flicker of happiness at his initiative. But then, concern struck. What did he mean by “immediately”? Why was she so eager to comply?
He had mentioned an address. “Driver, we’re not going there. Change route to…” After giving the address Shen Yixuan provided, it suddenly felt familiar.
Wasn’t this the printing factory for their magazine? Why would he ask her to come here?
Luo Yaling’s mood plummeted. Upon arrival, the driver brought her back to reality. She paid and got out, spotting a tall figure at the factory entrance, occasionally exhaling wisps of white smoke.
He looked cool, and she found herself wondering what he would look like when laughing. But now wasn’t the time for such thoughts. Why had Shen Yixuan called her here?
