“Bin Zhengheng. No matter what you become, I’ll always like you,” he said softly, as if talking to himself yet also to her.
“What? I didn’t hear clearly.”
Say it louder,” Luo Yaling perked up her ears and leaned close to Bin Zhengheng, wanting to hear him. But she couldn’t make out a single word.
“Bin Zhengheng.” Luo Yaling’s proximity made Bin Zhengheng furrow his brow.
“Bin Zhengheng??? This name sounds a bit familiar…” Luo Yaling tilted her head in confusion.
“Aren’t you going to take a shower? Why are you still standing here?” Bin Zhengheng reminded her.
“Ah!!!” Luo Yaling quickly rushed to the bathroom.
Bin Zhengheng watched her adorable actions and shook his head with a gentle smile. Why did her name sound familiar? It was because she knew his brother, differing by just one character. She might have temporarily forgotten his brother, but she’d remember it eventually. He had deliberately changed the subject.
Now, he needed to prepare dinner and wondered if it would suit Little Luo’s taste. He had learned to cook for her, hoping to win her over through her stomach and make her unable to leave him. That was his ultimate goal. Bin Zhengheng thought happily.
Moments later, a figure was seen busily working in the small kitchen.
Chapter Twenty-Two: Life
Just finished bathing, Luo Yaling caught a delicious aroma and couldn’t help but swallow.
It smells so good!” Her stomach conveniently sang its emptiness. Luo Yaling followed the scent.
Arriving at her destination, she plopped down on a chair and grabbed food with her hand.
“Wait. Don’t use your hands; it’s unhygienic. I’ll get chopsticks for you,” Bin Zhengheng said, rushing to the kitchen.
“Mmm, duck, goose…” Luo Yaling mumbled. She hadn’t eaten all day; how could she not be starving?
“Here.” Bin Zhengheng quickly returned with chopsticks.
Luo Yaling grabbed them and continued eating.
“Don’t rush; no one’s competing with you. Eat slowly. Be careful not to choke,” he kindly reminded her.
Just as Bin Zhengheng finished speaking, Luo Yaling began to cough. She looked pitifully at him, as if to say, “See? I told you so!”
“Here, drink some soup. I told you to eat slowly, but you wouldn’t listen. Now look what happened!” he reproached her.
