Lone Hawk

Seconds later, Jing Xin’s consciousness began to clear. She clutched Jiang Xiangyang tightly, calling in panic, “Xiangyang, Xiangyang, I don’t want you to die. As long as you live, I’ll do anything you say.”

Tears streamed down her face.

She pressed her face against his, whispering, “Xiang Yang, I don’t want you to die.”

Jing Xin finally understood that love for someone could burst to its extreme in an instant.

Facing life and death, she realized how much she cared for Jiang Xiang Yang. When he pushed her behind him in a dangerous situation and a man raised a gun, her heart stopped. She only wanted Jiang Xiang Yang to live and be safe, unaware that he had become more important to her than her own life.

Jing Xin had never thought she would be willing to die for a man. The moment she lunged towards him, she cast aside her own life, focused solely on Jiang Xiang Yang’s survival.

Li Er Feng covered his eyes and fell to the ground in pain. The gun was thrown somewhere, and with his eyes pierced, blood gushed out, draining the warmth from his body while fear consumed his heart.

Jiang Xiang Yang walked over and squatted beside him. Li Er Feng, unable to stand due to the agony, begged: “Brother Jiang, spare me, I was wrong. I’ll never do it again. Please don’t kill me.”

The bloody scene made Jing Xin turn away, covering her face, uncertain of how Jiang Xiang Yang would handle the situation.

Perhaps he would hand him over to the police? Jing Xin thought naively; their bloodiness was like a fantasy to her.

Jiang Xiang Yang let out a low laugh, his eyes filled with violent intent, his handsome face cloaked in a murderous aura.

Li Er Feng closed his eyes in despair, knowing he was doomed.

Jiang Xiang Yang looked at the cowering figure and coldly said, “Li Er Feng, do you think I would give you this chance? Kindness is enough once. Another time, wouldn’t I be as foolish as you say?”

His voice was as cold as if emerging from the depths of the earth.

He picked Li Er Feng up and walked into a nearby tea house, casually pulling the dazed Jing Xin alongside. Jing Xin stumbled, her feet feeling like they were walking on clouds.
