Loving Care for the Yandere – Part One

Xu Chengan refused to hang up: “Put it on speakerphone and place the phone on the passenger seat, don’t hang up.” Chen Jing laughed: “Didn’t you just say to be careful? Talking on the phone while driving, aren’t you afraid I’ll have a car accident?” “You don’t need to talk,” Xu Chengan’s voice was low and gentle: “I just want to hear your breathing, feeling your existence makes me happy.” Chen Jing helplessly curved her lips. Although Xu Chengan was clingy, undeniably, anyone being loved and cared for by their boyfriend like this would feel happy. Moreover, incredibly, she who had been single for years and only hooked up without dating, after being with Xu Chengan for a while, apart from his annoying crying, she actually started to have some feelings of being in love. Arriving home smoothly, Xu Chengan quickly changed into home clothes while she was on the road, pacing around the house waiting, feeling every second was a torment, and simply went to the garage to wait. As soon as Shen Ran’s car turned the corner, he couldn’t help but break into a smile, raising his right hand and waving vigorously. Shen Ran saw him and immediately honked in response. The car window rolled down, stopping where Xu Chengan was standing.

Shen Ran leaned out to look, seeing his slightly red cheeks and sparkling eyes, couldn’t help but reach out and touch his face, laughing: “Can’t even wait at home for a bit?”

“Can’t,” Xu Chengan blinked, his face turning redder, but said matter-of-factly: “I’ve already endured not seeing you all day; I don’t want to wait another second.”

Shen Ran’s smile widened, withdrew her hand, touched her own lips with two fingers, then stretched out and gently pressed on his lips: “Good boy, stand aside, sister will compensate you later.”

Xu Chengan instinctively licked where her finger had touched, the corners of his mouth involuntarily rising higher and higher, his heartbeat going crazy as if about to jump out of his mouth from her teasing.

Shen Ran bent down, tilting her head to look at his expression. When their eyes met, Xu Chengan’s smile became sweeter, directly cupping her face and kissing her loudly several times in that position.

“Ran-jie, do you like me a bit?” Xu Chengan held his breath, sensitively feeling something different about her.

Chen Jing smiled mischievously: “Guess.”

“I won’t guess,” Xu Chengan spread his arms, hugging her tightly, softly whining: “Ran-jie~~~ Just tell me directly, don’t make me anxious, okay?

Shen Ran hugged him, walking two steps forward and pressing the elevator button: “What if I want you to guess?” Xu Chengan bit his lower lip, his mood fluctuating, and simply acted spoiled: “Doesn’t matter, you definitely like me, really like me!” Shen Ran laughed silently. The elevator arrived just in time, so she pushed him: “We’ll talk later, let’s get in the elevator.” Xu Chengan didn’t get a response, feeling slightly dejected, holding her hand and walking in with a downcast head. Shen Ran leaned sideways, watching him with a smile, yet not saying a word.

Holding back his anger, he stood behind her with a cold and aggrieved expression, looking pitifully miserable. Shen Ran opened the door and pulled him directly to the bedroom. Xu Cheng’an quickly closed the door. After walking a few steps, his cold face began to soften: “You…”

“Shh.” Shen Ran suddenly turned back, signaling him to be quiet, and said mysteriously: “I have a surprise for you.” A surprise? Xu Cheng’an was stunned, involuntarily tightening his grip on her hand. After the word “surprise” came out of Shen Ran’s mouth, his mind was filled with thoughts of rings, engagement gifts, and wedding invitations. He was so excited he almost cried… Could it be what he was thinking?

However, the greater the expectation, the greater the disappointment when hopes are dashed.

This sentiment, Xu Cheng’an felt particularly deeply while looking at the various black and gold cards and the safe’s key in his hand.

Chen Jing noticed his reddening eye sockets and was suddenly taken aback: “What’s wrong?”

“I’m fine,” Xu Cheng’an shook his head, forcibly holding back his tears: “I’m just, just very happy.”

“Really?” Chen Jing looked suspiciously at the grievance in his eyes, moving closer: “I feel like you’re not happy.”

Xu Cheng’an’s fingertips gripping the card suddenly tightened, and his gaze unconsciously shifted away, avoiding her eyes: “You’re mistaken. I’m happy.”

Even with just a casual glance, he could see that she had given him all her personal assets.

She was completely unguarded with him, and of course, he was happy. But compared to the cold cards in his hand, he wanted her wedding more, wanted her to tell everyone that she was his.

Indeed, people are greedy. After just a few days of enjoying her seemingly boundless indulgence, he was already becoming increasingly demanding…

Chen Jing grabbed his chin, forcibly turning his face towards her, narrowing her eyes: “I’ll give you one more chance. Are you really happy?”

Chen Jing was also feeling a bit annoyed, thinking he was truly disappointing.

From the moment they got together, she might not have been gentle in everything, but at least she had never been harsh with him. Yet for a small matter, he was so afraid, feeling wronged but holding it in, only suffering silently.

This appearance of a bullied person made her want to… well, made her hands itch, wanting to hit him!

Of course, Chen Jing was just thinking this and would never actually lay a hand on him.

With his tendency to cry at the slightest grievance, she was afraid he’d be heartbroken before her hand even fell.

Xu Cheng’an lowered his head, silent.

This sudden rebelliousness even left Chen Jing somewhat helpless.

She pursed her lips, hinting indirectly: “Cheng’an, you can tell me directly what you like or don’t like. As long as it’s within my capabilities, I’ll agree to it.”

Xu Cheng’an silently shed a few tears, then slowly looked up: “Anything?”

Chen Jing nodded.

“Okay.” Xu Cheng’an nodded, suddenly kneeling down.

Chen Jing was stunned by his action and immediately tried to help him up: “If there’s something, just say it. Why are you kneeling?”

Xu Cheng’an grabbed her hand, raising his reddened eyes: “We were too rushed when we registered our marriage, and I didn’t get to kneel. I’m making up for it now.

“Chen Jing tried to help him up twice but found he wouldn’t move, and frowned: ‘Even if it’s a proposal, it should be on one knee. Get up.’

‘I won’t get up,’ Xu Cheng’an shook his head, full of determination.

Despite appearing calm, his heart was racing, worried she might refuse, afraid she’d dismiss him casually.

Chen Jing raised an eyebrow: ‘What are you thinking?’

Xu Cheng’an’s throat moved, and after a long pause, he said: ‘I want to propose to you.’

‘Really, try it and see.’ She curved her lips slightly, slowly and subtly enticing him.

‘Then…’ Xu Cheng’an’s heart was pounding, remembering the previous rejection, and his tears uncontrollably moistened. But, looking up and seeing Shen Ran’s encouraging and seemingly loving gaze, he bit his lip, constantly warning himself to hold back, and finally smiled shyly, grabbing her arm and shaking it, softly calling: ‘Ran Jie…’

Chen Jing’s lips curved upward: ‘Hmm, I’m here.’

‘I… I want to have a wedding with you, is that okay?’ Staring directly at her, Xu Cheng’an’s entire heart was excitedly jumping around, truly experiencing what it feels like to have a rabbit bouncing wildly, and deep down, a sweet feeling suddenly emerged.

After receiving no response for a long time, Xu Cheng’an was nervous, and just as his anticipation was about to turn into disappointment, he suddenly looked up, intending to say Shen Ran was deliberately teasing him, only to meet her eyes full of smiles.”
