“The people of the Qi Gui Kingdom only have one arm, but they are very clever and good at making all sorts of machinery. I heard they can make a flying car that can fly with the wind. I want to go there, ask them to help us make a flying car, and then we can go to the Central Plains. Since this is a world of myths, there must be gods; I want to see if there’s a way for us to quickly return to our original world.” Xu Xian’en furrowed her brows. “I’m very worried about Qi.”
“She’s not a child; she should know how to take care of herself. What we should worry about is, in this place where we don’t even know where north is, how can you be sure we’re heading north and not south?” He hurried to catch up with her. This woman was always impulsive, acting on a whim without thoroughly thinking through the consequences.
“Look at the North Star,” she said matter-of-factly.
“Are we looking at the North Star? Do you know what the North Star looks like?” He asked, looking at her with a nonchalone expression.
“I heard it’s like a ladle, but I’ve never actually seen it.” Ah, finally found it! She sat down, patting the feather quilt.
“What should we do today? Who saw the stars yesterday? How do we know which direction is north? And more importantly, you don’t even know how long it will take to get there, how can we even start walking?” At the core of it, he was worried about getting lost in unfamiliar territory.
“I don’t know what else to do either. Besides walking, I can’t think of any other way. Moreover, if we don’t find a place with people, we’ll have trouble even finding basic food. Plus, we have no defenses, not even a basic weapon. How can we fend off any sudden monsters?” Xu Xian’en was also filled with concern. “I hate strange places more than anyone, but since we’re out here, we must think of ways to protect ourselves.”
