Myth of Madness

“Chirp…” It chirped pitifully, seeking the gentle embrace of Xu Xian’en, its large, bulging eyes filled with tears, looking utterly pitiable.

“Alright, what’s your name?” Xu Xian’en asked the handsome man while comforting the noisy bird.

“My name is Duoduo.” He stuffed several more fruits into his mouth, suddenly looking up as if remembering something. “Ah… who are you? Why do you look so strange?”

“Such a latecomer to the party…” The divine bull gave its assessment, its disdainful lips revealing its trademark yellow teeth.

“Roar!” Duoduo looked at the bull in alarm, giving a start, and hurriedly moved the food aside. “Why can this creature talk?”

Xu Xian’en stood up to explain for him, “That talking creature just now is called a bull, but I’m not sure if your country has such animals. Due to the unknown nature, sometimes it can speak human language, so please don’t be afraid. As for us, we are people who accidentally fell here from afar. Since we come from different places, we naturally look different.”

“We’ve endured great hardships to come to Qiqi Country because we heard that the people here can make flying vehicles that can ride the wind. We hope you can help us build one so we can go to Zhongyuan to seek help and return to our own country.”

She blurted out all this in a rush, and Duoduo could barely understand any of it.

“Huh?” He blinked in confusion. “You mean, you want to find someone to help you build a flying vehicle?”

“In a nutshell, that’s correct.” The bull nodded slightly, smiling.

“But making a flying vehicle would take a lot of time.” Duoduo scratched his head. “And… are you sure you want help from the people of Qiqi Country? To be honest, the people here are a bit eccentric.”

“It’s not like that, I think you get along quite well with them.” Xu Xian’en was good at nothing but sweet-talking!

“Ah… oh.” Duoduo gave a dazed smile. “So my father always says that my trusting nature will get me tricked eventually.”

I… Xu Xian’en’s face suddenly darkened with black lines.

“So what should we do?” She looked at the bull, troubled.
