One Wife, Multiple Husbands – Part Two

He no longer cared about anything, hitting and roaring a soul-deep scream. Ye Hui was taken by him again and again, and after several times, she was exhausted to the point of fainting. Although still feeling something, she was so weak that she couldn’t even open her eyelids, gasping for breath at her chest, her head heavy, time seeming to have lost its record, space losing its existence, as if lying on clouds, drifting endlessly! Huangfu Zeduan only then realized he had been too forceful, tidied up, dressed her, and carried her out of the carriage. He then discovered that the sky had already darkened. The carriage stopped in front of the palace gate, with imperial guards and palace attendants standing straight beside the horses, without any sign of impatience. Huangfu Zeduan waved for the imperial guards to return to camp and entered the palace gate with the palace attendants. The north gate of the Crown Prince’s palace was the closest, passing by the royal garden and the executive hall, which was his residence, with a group of eunuchs waiting respectfully at the door. Huangfu Zeduan didn’t even look, directly carrying his wife into the Yaoguang Hall. Ye Hui slept until the next morning before waking up, hungry and thirsty, her whole body weak. Being held and taken by Huangfu Zeduan non-stop yesterday was truly terrifying; she had never been this exhausted even with multiple husbands before. A Jin led several eunuchs to help her wash and dress. Ye Hui occasionally glanced around the room. It was much larger than the Chu Wang Palace, with more exquisite and grand decorations, showcasing the luxury of the royal family. ”Where are the others?” Ye Hui thought of Qin Yuhang and Mo Qi. But the Tenth, Eleventh, and Li Weichen were all nobles with high status, so she didn’t need to worry about them. ”Young Master Qin and Young Master Mo are resting in their designated garden, Your Ladyship need not worry.” ”Have them come here. I want them to accompany me for a meal.” ”Yes, Your Ladyship. This servant will go and invite the two young masters.” ”No need. I’ll go myself. You lead the way.” ”Your Ladyship,” A Jin’s face showed hesitation, “The Son of Heaven instructed this servant that you should wait for him to return before having a meal after waking up. He will be back from the morning court soon.” Ye Hui was slightly angry. Was this slave looking down on her because she wasn’t a proper master? ”Tell the Crown Prince to wait for me in the Yaoguang Hall.” The Eastern Palace was quite spacious. Under A Jin’s guidance, Ye Hui passed through an alley, a flower garden, a water pool, and over a dozen pavilions before seeing a beautiful building with upturned eaves at a scenic spot in the northwest corner. Qin Yuhang was practicing sword, his sword moving with him, fierce and sharp, gradually becoming a blur of light. She couldn’t see anything clearly, only the whooshing wind spreading in all directions, affecting nearby flowers and trees, their leaves trembling and scattered. Qin Yuhang stood on one leg, sheathing his sword. ”Wife is here,” he sheathed his long sword and walked over, smiling: “I thought you would sleep much longer. Haven’t eaten yet?” ”Want to eat with husband,” Ye Hui took out a handkerchief, wiped the sweat from his nose tip, leaning towards his chest, whispering: “Husband, let’s go inside and talk. Not here.” Qin Yuhang understood, horizontally embracing his wife, told A Jin: “Later, have someone bring the meal here, and have Mo Qi come to serve.”

Ye Hui was carried by him towards the main door, with a plaque above reading “Yunmeng Study” in golden characters. Entering the room, the decor was simple and exquisite. Ye Hui got down from her husband’s arms, looking around, attracted by a calligraphy on the wall, the handwriting somewhat familiar, powerful and authentic. ”It’s the Emperor’s work. The Emperor’s calligraphy is extraordinary in the entire Yingtang Kingdom, even scholars greatly admire it. The Chu Wang Palace in Pingzhou also has the Emperor’s work, which my lady has seen.” Having arrived at the Eastern Palace yesterday, he had walked around and saw this calligraphy in Yunmeng Study before deciding to stay. Ye Hui had practiced calligraphy for several years in her previous life, but her foundation was worse than a child in this era. Although she had worked hard since arriving, she was not even worthy of carrying a book master’s shoes. She could only see that the Emperor’s calligraphy was good, but couldn’t articulate exactly how good. Like Li Yundi and Lang Lang, people say Li Yundi’s artistic level is higher. She had heard their concerts, with only one feeling: Wow, wonderful. Ye Hui sometimes felt she was quite vulgar, and she had to admit this. Qin Yuhang looked at his wife’s embarrassed face, guessed what she was thinking, sat on the couch, and smiled while holding her on his lap. ”Wife, don’t be embarrassed about small things. In my eyes, you’re always the best. Look how much you know, created so many good things, with forms, fierce oil, strategic military reduction, establishing postal service, developing Huguang. The Yingtang Empire has benefited greatly, with people living in peace. On this journey, we’ve heard countless praises about the Crown Prince’s wife’s abilities.” On their way back to the imperial capital, they had heard many legends about the Yingtang Crown Prince’s wife. Qin Yuhang’s words made Ye Hui feel more ashamed; these were not her inventions, but experiences from her previous life. While speaking, A Jin led a group of eunuchs in, laying out a table of imperial cuisine. ”Your Ladyship, the Crown Prince specially instructed the imperial kitchen to prepare a light meal knowing your preference.” ”You may all leave!” Ye Hui didn’t like being watched by outsiders while eating, finding it hard to swallow. A Jin didn’t dare to go far, leading the eunuchs to wait outside the door. ”Has husband eaten? If not, I’ll feed you,” Ye Hui sat on his lap, picking up a piece of tamago-yaki with her chopsticks, putting it in her mouth, then mouth-to-mouth feeding him. This was a game they often played, each meal filled with endless tenderness and affection. Qin Yuhang had already eaten, but how could he bear to refuse, eating with a contented face, also feeding his wife in the same manner.

The couple intimately enjoyed their meal for over half an hour, and then Moqi arrived, with Ye Hui inviting him to sit down.

Moqi shook his head: “Miss, it’s not proper. In the past, in Pingzhou where the mountain was high and the emperor was far away, we could be casual. But now we’re in the palace, and as a lowly servant sitting at the same level as the master, people would mock the Ye family’s lack of etiquette.”

“Just sit down when I tell you to sit,” Ye Hui got off her husband’s lap, pressed Moqi into the chair, took a meatball in her mouth, and fed it to him in the same manner as before.

A fresh, fragrant scent wafted over, making Moqi momentarily at a loss. Like a machine, he mechanically received it with his lips, touching her soft lips, and couldn’t help but tremble.

“Moqi, I feel like I’ve been neglecting you lately.”

Seeing him silent, Ye Hui blinked: “But it’s okay, I’ll accompany you tonight!”

She hadn’t been with Moqi for some time. Over a dozen days ago, she had been with him, then was supposed to be with her main husband, who let her rest for a few days. Then her menstrual period interrupted, and afterward, she rotated between her husbands. Just when it was Moqi’s turn, she had gone to the capital and been taken away by Huangfu Zeduan.

Moqi waved his hands: “Miss, please don’t say such foolish things. Now that we’re back in the palace, you must accompany the Crown Prince. This servant… I’m fine, no need to accompany me.”
