One Wife, Multiple Husbands – Part Two

“When did you start liking such perverted tactics? Does getting spanked feel good?” Qin Yuhang shook his head and pulled the brocade quilt over her.

Near dusk, the men finished bathing and started cooking. After eating, they set up tents, as the desert gets very cold at night. Ye Hui had the eunuch light a fire in her tent, making it warm, and rested there with Heng Ting.

Ye Hui had previously thought about being fair to her husbands, and tonight should have been Lao Shi’s turn, but she only wanted to accompany her son, holding his small body, feeling deeply moved. This was the only blood relative in this ancient world. A satisfied smile played on her lips as she drifted off to sleep.

The next day, they set off towards Arxan, their final stop, planning to wander around before heading back.

From far away, Ye Hui saw a large crowd gathered at the village entrance, consisting of both Qiang and Han people.

Ye Hui rode Saixue, held from behind by her main husband, with two guards ten meters behind, followed by the royal carriage, attendants, and five hundred imperial guards.

At the village entrance, a handsome young man was tied to a pile of dry wood, looking terrified as a Qiang person approached with a torch to set him on fire. However, the Qiang person stopped upon seeing the military approach.

Damn, were they going to burn someone alive?

“This is a local custom. We shouldn’t interfere,” Qin Yuhang whispered in his wife’s ear, suggesting the man might have committed a grave offense. Ye Hui sighed, not wanting to witness someone being burned alive: “Let’s leave!”

As Qin Yuhang was about to turn his horse, the man tied to the woodpile suddenly called out: “Are you Lady Ye?”

Ye Hui turned back. The bound man looked familiar. Where had she seen him before?

The Qiang person lit the woodpile. The autumn desert wind was strong, and the fire quickly spread.

“I’m Hong Wen!” the young man cried. “Lady Ye, please save me!”

Ye Hui was trying to remember who Hong Wen was when Mo Qi frantically jumped from the carriage and rushed to the fire, throwing herself onto the flames.

“Quickly… help Mo Qi,” Ye Hui anxiously jumped.
