Philosophy of the CEO’s Infidelity

She wasn’t happy accepting her uncle’s arrangements, but was utterly desperate. The “good matches” her uncle introduced made her no longer believe she could have a happy marriage.

Over these three months, her uncle had taken her to numerous business dinners—which were essentially disguised matchmaking events. Those men were all well-known entrepreneurs with wealth and social status, but they shared a common trait—they were old, balding, and pot-bellied, seeking a young and beautiful woman as a second wife.

Was this the carefully selected match her uncle had promised? How could she not feel heartbroken?

She knew her uncle’s actions had made her a laughingstock in upper-class and business circles—everyone mocked them as if they were street peddlers! She truly didn’t know how long these matchmaking dinners would continue or when she would finally be liberated.

Now, she could only shut down her feelings, think of nothing, and once she repaid her uncle’s favor, she would owe him nothing…

Shao Wende and Mu Yun’s matchmaking dinner was set in a famous high-end hotel. Shao Wende arrived early with the meticulously dressed Shao Yihe, sitting in the reserved private room.

Today, Shao Yihe was adorned like a delicate porcelain doll. Her long, curled hair was loosely pinned back with a large clip, with two curls charmingly falling beside her cheeks, complementing the pearl earrings swaying on her delicate earlobes.

She wore a powder blue silk chiffon dress that perfectly showcased her slender and graceful figure. The dress was given to her last night by Zhou Xiangmei, who had ordered her to wear it today.

She later learned the dress was originally her cousin Yalan’s, a gift bought by Aunt Zhou Xiangmei from Europe. Unfortunately, Shao Yalan had a fuller figure, and when tried on, the dress stretched her flesh like a large meat dumpling, looking utterly unflattering. Zhou Xiangmei reluctantly “donated” the dress to serve as Shao Yihe’s “costume”.

Shao Yihe waited without expectation for the “sponsor” to arrive, unconsciously stroking the pearl necklace around her neck.

The pearl necklace and earrings were a set, left by her mother. Wearing them always made her feel calmer.

Mr. Mu!” Shao Wende quickly stood up, shaking hands with the outstanding young man with a face full of smiles.
