Reborn as the Wind

Ru Feng wrapped her arm around his waist, “Big brother, this is my secret. I don’t want to talk about it.”

“By the way, how should I explain to Autumn Mom in a few days?”

A secret? Situ Ying Feng glared at the top of her head, restraining the impulse to knock her. “Forget it, if you don’t want to say, then don’t. As for Autumn Mom, just say you accidentally fell while traveling.”

Ru Feng looked at her legs. “Is there a fall that breaks both legs completely?”

“There are even falls that cause paralysis. Okay, let’s eat.”

As for Qi Feng at work, he was restless all day.

“Miss Sui Feng, the second young master is busy. Please wait a moment, miss…” Before the assistant could finish, the door was suddenly pushed open, and Sui Feng stood in the doorway, her chest slightly heaving.

The assistant wiped sweat from his forehead. “I’m sorry, second young master, I couldn’t stop Miss Sui Feng.”

Qi Feng waved his hand. “You can go out and close the door.”

The assistant hurriedly ran out and gently closed the door.

Sui Feng did not speak, and Qi Feng ignored her, continuing to process documents.

“Where is Ru Feng?” Sui Feng finally asked, losing patience.

Qi Feng didn’t look up. “What qualifications do you have to ask about her?” A mocking smile played at the corner of his mouth. “Or do you think you can win back Ning Yuan’s heart by hurting her again?”

He was in a bad mood, and she dared to provoke him, so he wouldn’t show mercy. Sui Feng bit her lip and said, “Dad and big brother don’t know where she went, but you should know. I remember you disappeared with my sister back then, and later only you came back. Where is my sister?”

“Sister?” Qi Feng replied playfully, half-smiling. “How could she be your sister? I remember your husband snatched her away. What kind of sister steals her future brother-in-law? You must be remembering wrong.”

Tears fell as Sui Feng rushed to his desk. “I know I was wrong, but can you tell me where she is? Only she can persuade Ning Yuan. I can’t watch him destroy himself. Second brother, you know that no matter what, Ning Yuan is the man Ru Feng loves most. She is so kind; she would never watch him self-destruct.”

“The man she loves most? What a joke!” Qi Feng’s lips tightened. “Is Ning Yuan dying?”

“No, he wants to divorce me. The lawyer’s letter arrived today. Regardless of my agreement, the separation agreement will become effective after its term.”

Qi Feng laughed. “So he’s walking on the road to happiness, about to start a happy life. How can you say he’s self-destructing?”

Sui Feng’s eyes widened, “Second brother!”

Qi Feng replied, “Escaping this living hell of a marriage. Sui Feng, Ning Yuan is becoming smarter.”

“But if he divorces me, won’t you and big brother cause trouble for him?” She recalled how her family had once wanted to devour Ning Yuan alive. If not for her, he would have been destroyed long ago.

Qi Feng stood up, brushed off non-existent dust, picked up the phone, and approached her, “Sui Feng, Ru Feng’s matters are not your concern. For big brother’s sake, take care of yourself. As for Ning Yuan, he is unrelated to me or my family. If I see him, I’ll treat him like a stranger. Understand?”

As he reached the door, he turned back, “Sui Feng, don’t think using Ru Feng to persuade Ning Yuan will make him return to you. You’re in a pitiful state; don’t be naive. Live your life and stop causing trouble. I hope you understand that I have no compassion.”

After he left, Sui Feng leaned on the desk, biting her lip until it bled.

After venting his anger, Qi Feng felt his mood improve.

Returning home, he saw Ru Feng reading in the garden, and his smile grew even wider.

He walked over and hugged her from behind, biting her earlobe.

Feeling the hot sensation, Ru Feng blushed and tried to push his face away. “Aren’t we in a cold war? How can someone be so affectionate during a cold war?”

“Cold War?” Qi Feng raised an eyebrow. “Are we kids having a cold war?” He plopped down on the nearby flower bed, lifted her from her wheelchair, and rested his head on her neck. “Wind’er, are you giving me the cold shoulder?”

Ru Feng pouted, unable to admit it, “No.”

“Good that it’s not a cold war,” Qi Feng observed, secretly amused, reflecting that he would never start one again. Unable to hug, kiss, or talk to her left him unsettled.

“Wind’er, do you like Si Tu Qi Wu?” He had thought it through clearly. Saying nothing would only cause misunderstandings, and he didn’t want to make a foolish mistake like Ning Yuan.

Ru Feng rolled her eyes, “I like him!”

As soon as the words fell, she noticed him stiffen, followed by a careful probing voice, “Like?”

“Mm!”

“Her mouth curved into a triumphant arc as she quickly kissed his lips, ‘Like him, just like big brother.’

‘You little devil!’ Qi Feng glared at her, knowing she was doing it on purpose.

She laughed happily, startled by his suddenly approaching face. ‘Second brother…’ The rest of her words were swallowed by him.

A month of longing and unease was released in this moment of passion.

‘Wind’er, I missed you!’ He kissed her earlobe tenderly. Ru Feng collapsed into his arms, her tightly closed eyes’ eyelashes trembling lightly, like a butterfly’s delicate wing beats.

The garden’s heat intoxicated the crimson sky!

Si Tu Jin tugged at the corner of his mouth. ‘Ying Feng, you and Wind’er both lost. I won. For the next week, you’ll cook, including Wind’er’s portion.’

A leg injury was indeed inconvenient, and the servants lacked Qi Feng’s skill and strength. However, Ru Feng would rather be troubled again than remain in her current state.

Her face turned bright red as she gripped the blanket tightly, glaring at Qi Feng.

A hint of amusement flickered in Qi Feng’s eyes, but his expression remained serious. ‘Wind’er, people eat grains; this is a normal physiological phenomenon. Be good, I’ll carry you.’

‘No! Go get Aunt Wu to help me.’ Being carried to the bathroom by her second brother would be worse than hiding in a ground hole.

‘Can Aunt Wu manage that?’ “

Her second brother gave her a sidelong glance.

“Then there’s Aunt Li!” She would die before letting her second brother carry her.

Qi Feng crouched down, looking into her eyes, his finger brushing her cheek gently. “Wind’er, are you embarrassed?”

“No,” she turned her face away, but her blood-red cheeks betrayed her awkwardness.

Qi Feng smiled, enjoying her rare embarrassment. “What can’t you let me see?”

Ru Feng pushed away his overly close face. “That won’t do, we’re not married yet.”

Qi Feng backed off a bit, giving her breathing space. “So Wind’er is hinting we’re not married yet! No problem, we’ll marry whenever you want. When do you think is good?”

Ru Feng tugged his collar. “Second brother, call Aunt Wu and the others upstairs!”

Qi Feng nodded. “Then first tell me, when are we getting married?”

“Second brother!” Ru Feng glared at him.

“How about next month on the 10th?” He patiently sought her opinion.

Ru Feng pursed her lips, ignoring him.

He sat beside her, crossing his legs leisurely. “If Wind’er isn’t in a hurry, we can discuss the date slowly. If next month doesn’t work, we’ll do the month after, or I’ll find a lunar calendar for you…”

“Second brother!” Ru Feng interrupted, grinding her teeth. “Next month it is!”

His eyes curved as he looked at her. “Wind’er doesn’t seem very happy.”

“No, I’m happy.”

She bit her teeth and forced a bright smile.

“Okay, next month on the 10th,” he stood up. Ru Feng breathed a sigh of relief, thinking he would call someone to solve her urgent matter.

But before she could feel relieved, Qi Feng stretched out his arms to carry her horizontally.

“Second brother, what are you doing?”
