Shadows of the Sword The Dance of Heart and Power

Bing Zhi wore a half-new coarse cloth skirt, typical of a fisherwoman. Her long hair was loosely tied up, with some strands falling behind her shoulders. Without makeup or any jewelry, her plain appearance still radiated beauty.

For a moment, no one spoke, and no one continued chewing their food. They were afraid that if they moved slightly, the vision before them would disappear, because like the waiter, they could only believe they were seeing a fairy.

“Waiter, a bowl of noodles,” the woman said, completely unaware of the unusual reactions around her.

The waiter remained dazed, showing no sign of movement.

Bing Zhi walked directly to a corner seat. Seeing the waiter still unresponsive, Bing Zhi frowned. Did he not understand her?

She had lived on an island since childhood, focused on martial arts and revenge, never exposed to the outside world.

She suspiciously called out again, “Waiter, do you have noodles?”

The waiter finally regained his ability to move. “Oh! Yes. One clear soup noodles.”

The waiter’s shout also brought the other guests back to their senses.

After confirming she could communicate with people in this country, Bing Zhi said nothing more and began to contemplate.

“Miss, your noodles,” the waiter quickly brought the noodles. “Would you like a room?”

“Mm,” Bing Zhi responded simply, half-raising her head and meeting the waiter’s bent-over gaze.

The waiter hurriedly left, and an unusual silence fell over the inn once more.

More or less, she had already understood some things, but still needed to digest them alone. Wang Bo was afraid she would be tired, so he didn’t delve deeper and let her rest early.

“Someone is attacking, get up quickly! Protect the young lady!” It was Wang Bo’s voice, no longer calm but panicked.

Bing Zhi understood as soon as she heard Wang Bo’s urgent tone that something was wrong, and it was a catastrophic situation!

Bing Zhi quickly got up and grabbed her weapon. She always slept fully dressed to respond to danger at the first moment. Just as she got up, Wang Bo rushed into her room, staggering, with an injured right hand.

“Quickly get on the small boat and leave, we can’t hold out much longer!” Wang Bo said, breathing heavily. Had they really reached the point of abandoning the ship?
