The Duke’s Affair -Part One

Seeing the maid’s dismissive look towards anyone but Dean, Ye Ye strode over, hugged Dean’s waist, and said, “Dean, tell her to give me my gun back now! And, I’m staying here!”

The maid looked as if it was impossible, watching Ye Ye’s actions, waiting for Dean to refuse.

“Return the lady’s belongings to her, and she’s staying.” Dean didn’t mind helping Ye Ye bully a servant, as long as his little demon was having fun!

The maid was stunned, blinking, “Sir, is what you just said true?” completely forgetting the proper way to address Dean.

“Watch your tone! Go now!” Dean’s voice was stern, not missing the affection in the maid’s eyes for him or her disdain for Ye Ye.

“Yes!” Realizing Dean’s anger, the maid quickly responded, “Should I prepare the guest room for the lady?” she asked respectfully.

“No need, I’ll sleep here!” Ye Ye interrupted, her mood greatly improved because Dean was helping her!

“Uh…” The maid looked hesitantly at Dean, not daring to act without his approval.

“You heard her, go!” Dean indirectly confirmed Ye Ye’s words.

The maid bowed and quickly left with the changed beddings.

Ye Ye watched her flustered departure and felt the mischievous side of her nature had been well satisfied, laughing heartily.

“Satisfied?” Dean asked, indulgently rubbing her cheek.

“Hehe.” Ye Ye kissed Dean.

The door was knocked again; they knew it was the maid, so they signaled her to enter. This time, the maid respectfully handed Ye Ye her gun, “I’m sorry, Miss, for the earlier rudeness! Here you are!”

“Hmm, you can go now! Remember not to rummage through my things next time!” Ye Ye put away her playful demeanor, putting on an air of arrogance when addressing the maid. She never respected those who disrespected her, but once it was over, she wouldn’t dwell on it!

“Yes!” The maid left in fear.

Ye Ye played with her gun, and Dean, upon closer inspection, saw it was a small, intricately engraved palm pistol, about 15 cm long, undoubtedly a masterpiece from a true expert, not something an ordinary person could possess. He squinted, “Who gave it to you?” He twirled the gun in his hand.
