Dean turned to the bedside table, picked up the internal phone, and coldly said, “Bring the lady’s bag up, and change the bed linens to clean ones.”
“Yes!” The maid responded promptly.
Dean walked into the bathroom and slowly stepped into the bathtub where Ye Ye was comfortably soaking. He held her without saying a word, enjoying this rare moment of warmth. After their bath, they put on bathrobes and walked out of the bathroom. The maid was changing the bed sheets; the original sheets lay on the floor, stained with a few drops of bright red and pools of water, evidence of their earlier wild passion and Ye Ye’s lost innocence…
Ye Ye picked up her bag, opened it, and quickly looked up, “Where’s my gun?” she asked the maid with wide eyes, recognizing the same maid who had looked at her with disdain when she arrived.
Dean, who had just poured himself a glass of red wine, overheard Ye Ye’s question. A gun? It seemed this little one was really not an ordinary character! He walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, watching with interest to see what this little demon would do next.
The maid had just finished making the bed, turned around to face Ye Ye’s inquiry: “According to the rules, anyone coming to see the Duke cannot carry weapons, so I’ve temporarily stored your gun!”
“But who gave you the right to rummage through my bag!” Ye Ye demanded sharply.
“Earlier, the Duke asked me to bring your bag up, so I followed the rules and stored your gun!” The maid maintained her serious demeanor, not even glancing at Ye Ye.
Ye Ye was furious; she felt this maid, despite her polite and diligent attitude, actually harbored a disdain for her! “Give me my gun back right now!”
“Miss, when you leave, I will return it to you!” The maid, thinking Ye Ye was about to leave, gave a mocking smile.
“Who said I’m leaving!?” Ye Ye was really angry now; this maid was too infuriating!
“This…” The maid was at a loss for words and looked to Dean for help, expecting him to tell Ye Ye to leave.
