“Oh, okay, Uncle Zeta!” Ye Ye gave him a playful smile and briskly headed to the dining room. In the Baroque-style dining room, at the long marble table, Dean sat at the head, with Simon Xu and Jones seated beside each other, both focused on their laptops, occasionally typing. Seeing Ye Ye approach, looking fresh, Dean’s eyes showed approval, and Simon Xu even whistled at her. Ye Ye sat down next to Dean, “Dean, can we eat now? I’m starving!” she said coyly.
Simon Xu raised an eyebrow, “Dean?” His handsome face was full of questions as he looked at Dean. This title was reserved for their four main assistants and Dean’s great-grandmother, yet this beautiful elf was now using it so sweetly, and Dean seemed to accept it naturally!
Dean glared at Simon Xu, “Do you have a problem?”
“Not at all!” Simon Xu chuckled and then turned to Ye Ye, “Have we met before, miss? Do you remember me?”
Ye Ye glanced at Simon Xu, “Of course, at ET, you helped me out.” Thinking back, it must have been Dean’s instructions; it seemed Dean had been looking out for her. Ye Ye gazed at Dean’s handsome face with a silly smile.
“Yes, let me formally introduce myself. I’m Simon Xu, and this is Jones, Dean’s personal assistant.” He also patted the somewhat stiff Jones.
Jones gave a polite smile. Ye Ye nodded, “Nice to meet you! I’m Ye Ye!” [From Passion to Burning Passion: Fifty, Learning to Behave 2]
The servants brought in lunch. The three men closed their laptops and started eating. Dean frowned as he watched Ye Ye only eating salad and steak, leaving all the other vegetables and meats untouched, neatly picking them to the side, and said, “Ye Ye, don’t be picky!”
Ye Ye pouted, “I don’t like pork, and I hate bell peppers!”
Simon Xu and Jones exchanged amused glances. When had their great duke ever cared about a woman’s diet? It seemed this little woman was special to Dean, or else he would never break his principles to let her stay in his room…
“You’re already skinny like a skeleton, and you’re still being picky?” Dean said, displeased.
“I’m slender, not skinny!” Ye Ye muttered. Dean gave up trying to reason with the stubborn woman, knowing it was futile, and simply pushed his portion of tuna salad towards Ye Ye: “If you won’t eat those, at least eat this!”
Ye Ye felt that although Dean’s tone wasn’t the best, he was thoughtful enough to give her what she liked, so she flashed a beautiful smile and gave Dean a peck on the cheek, leaving a slight smear of oil…
Dean’s handsome face looked a bit uncomfortable, but he maintained his regal composure, lowering his head to continue eating elegantly, “Eat quickly!”
Simon Xu and Jones were astonished again; Dean was allowing Ye Ye’s playful behavior? Even his wife Misha always kept a certain distance from him… The two finished their lunch in stunned silence, then left, giving the couple some space.
After lunch, Dean and Ye Ye sat sipping tea, “Ye Ye, I have to go out later. Stay in the villa and wait for me to come back!”
“Oh…” Ye Ye dragged out the syllable; she had hoped to spend the weekend with him. Who knew he had plans. “I won’t be back for dinner; there’s a banquet. The butler will arrange everything for you.”
“You can tell him anything you want, just be good!” Dean said. “Can’t I go out?” Ye Ye asked. “No, you can sleep, surf the internet, watch TV, do whatever you like, but you can’t go out!” Dean said firmly. Actually, he wanted Ye Ye to rest more, knowing that her body must be sore after her first night. “Oh—” she reluctantly agreed. “I don’t like women who don’t listen!” Dean reiterated, noticing Ye Ye’s reluctance. “I understand, I’ll be good!” Ye Ye immediately put on a smile; after all, she didn’t specify what being good meant, hehe… After sitting for a while, Dean left the villa, and Ye Ye, feeling bored, went upstairs alone, wondering why she hadn’t seen the maid from yesterday. Shaking her head, what was there to think about? Lying on the couch by the bed, Ye Ye squinted her eyes to enjoy the sunlight and dozed off… Suddenly, the phone on the coffee table rang — “I want to ask where you are, I want to ask myself, at first I was smart, at the end I was smart, almost smart enough to destroy myself…” It was “Night After Night,” it was Long Yu! Ye Ye picked up, “Yu—” “Baby, where are you?” Long Yu asked. “Uh, getting a beauty treatment…” Ye Ye said offhandedly, subconsciously not wanting Long Yu to know she was at another man’s house, even though Long Yu allowed her freedom… but she still didn’t want to say… she wasn’t sure if Long Yu would still be generous if he knew… after all, knowing and not knowing made a difference… and she wanted to be willfully carefree for a while longer, without the concept of responsibility in her young heart… “Oh, I just won two plots of land, there’s a celebration party tonight, will you come with me?” Long Yu said casually. “Tonight, huh?…” Ye Ye hesitated, Dean told her not to go out! But she was really bored… if she came back early, it would be fine, right!? Yes, that’s how it would be. “Okay, Yu.” “Shall I pick you up?” Long Yu asked. “No need, I’ll come to Aohua Building myself, will you accompany me to buy a dress?” Ye Ye said. “Sure, it’s still early, I’ll go shopping with you.” “See you in a bit.” “Drive carefully, no speeding!” Long Yu knew Ye Ye’s personality well and didn’t forget to remind her. “Got it!” Ye Ye picked up her bag and excitedly left. Fortunately, Dean wasn’t waiting outside to catch her, perhaps because he trusted Ye Ye’s sense of self-discipline too much…
Driving to Aohua Building, Ye Ye made a call to have Long Yu come downstairs. Long Yu came down in a well-fitted black suit, a dark gray striped shirt with an open collar, a black tie with a silver cross, and his medium-length hair scattered, exuding his usual wild and dominant air, looking tall and perfect. Long Yu pointed to the Rolls-Royce sedan beside him and said, “Can’t drive a sports car tonight!” Ye Ye understood, formal occasions required formality. So, she obediently followed Long Yu into the back seat of the Rolls-Royce. “To the luxury shopping district!” Long Yu instructed the driver. Thus, the convoy of bodyguards’ cars started moving forward…
