The First Demon Empress

Yin Can still hadn’t appeared, and even his news had disappeared. However, Xiao Wu came to Wuhen’s mansion a few days ago, refusing to leave despite the royal mansion’s people humiliating her. Looking at Xiao Wu’s pale and stubborn face, I felt compassion for this woman who was willing to sacrifice so much for Yin Can.

Since that day, Wuhen had been constantly meeting me, mocking me without reason. He even made me watch as he tortured living beings until they stopped breathing.

“Madam, the Prince requests your presence!” Cui’er almost came to report to me every day. Wuhen had her invite me to spend time with him daily, even having me join him for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

When I arrived at his main hall, he was still accompanied by two male companions, one named Ling and the other Yan. These two had never been replaced, showing how much Wuhen favored them.

“Your Highness!” I greeted quietly as always, never being disrespectful, clearly understanding that this man would not be so simple with me.

“You came to see me quickly today, an hour faster than yesterday,” he said lazily.

“I wonder what Your Highness wants me to see today?” I looked at them sarcastically. Once, I could endure his manipulation; twice, I could pretend not to see; but if he played with me daily, it would be unbearable.

“Oh? You want to see? However, I’m afraid you won’t be interested today. I just want to tell you some good news – Yin Can is now imprisoned in the heavenly prison.” His eyes held a smile.

I didn’t respond to his words. When Xiao Wu came to my side, I had already realized that Yin Can must have encountered something; otherwise, she would not have continuously stayed by my side.

“Don’t you want to know the reason? Aren’t you worried about him?”

“This concubine is just Your Highness’s companion and has no right to interfere with any of the Prince’s decisions. Hui’er has no right to worry, correct?” I remained calm, even if my heart was turbulent, with a faint smile on my face.

“Yin Can attempted to assassinate the Cang Kingdom’s monarch and secretly communicated with the Prince’s consort!” His cold voice pierced my ears.
