The Queen’s Path

Hans Borg spoke, causing the smile on William Minna’s face to vanish. She stared in shock, instinctively looking towards her husband.

“Excuse me,” Albert said, ending his conversation and intending to approach her.

Before he could move, a servant rushed over. “Your Majesty, would you like some champagne?”

William Minna frowned at the impolite servant. Just as she was about to decline, Hans Borg suddenly pushed her to the ground. An explosion erupted, violently throwing them away.

In pain and disorientation, William Minna felt her vision turn blood red. She realized a suicide attack had occurred. This was the servant’s blood, and…

She felt Hans Borg lying on top of her, protecting her with his body, his warm blood flowing between her fingers.

Meanwhile, Sir Wolf noted that the first media batch probably arrived five minutes ago, and some public attendees remained, hoping for confirmation of safety.

Has the news started broadcasting?

Yes, currently six official TV stations and over twenty private ones are reporting.

The Director of Security entered, and the rest of the personnel quietly withdrew.

Once alone in the study, William Min stood up.

“I hope you can explain why the situation has become so serious,” he said. “You initially assured me this was just a false alarm!”

“I’m very sorry, Your Majesty,” the Director of Security bowed. “We secretly replaced the bomb, but Hans Borg was injured while trying to protect it.”

Alte asked, “How is the situation outside being handled?”

“Everything has been managed,” the Duke Li replied. “Can I send you both back to the palace?”

William Min nodded. “Handle this matter; Li Anbell’s side will likely react soon. You know how to respond.”

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

As the couple’s car left city hall, they were surrounded by reporters, camera flashes flickering and questions penetrating through the car window.

“Is Your Majesty injured? Is the Prime Minister in critical condition? Was this attack carried out by an ex-wife? What measures will the couple take?”

William Min trembled, and Alte held her tighter.

The car sped away, leaving the chaos behind.

Returning to the Paris Palace, the couple went straight to their room without a word.

The bathtub was filled with water when Alte turned on the shower and pulled William Min under the flow.
