He quickly pulled himself together, though his heartbeat remained irregular.
“Please come to the counter to register your information,” Luo Yian led him to the counter and took out a guest registration form for him to fill out.
As he bent down to write, water dripped from his hair. Luo Yian stole glances, suddenly feeling an impulse to reach out and wipe his wet hair, but quickly looked away to avoid doing something too forward.
Handing over the completed form, Wei Tianlong smiled casually. “Could you give me the best room in the mountain villa?”
“No problem, you can have whichever room you want, anyway, they’re all empty,” she spoke candidly, then immediately felt it might not be appropriate, laughing awkwardly and quickly explaining. “You know, with such heavy rain, usually people don’t come up the mountain.”
“Yes, I’m just silly, driven by an impulse, coming without checking the weather conditions,” he couldn’t help but shake his head and sigh, feeling this was indeed a misstep.
She smiled, originally curious but immediately suppressing the intrusive thought.
“I’ll give you the corner room on the third floor – it’s actually my favorite! Because I think it has the best view, with windows on two sides. At night you can see stars and the moon, in the morning you can see the sunrise… ah, but it’s been raining these days, so a good view doesn’t matter!” At the end, she even pouted disappointedly for him.
She chirped on like a sparrow, her expressions rich and vivid. Wei Tianlong listened and watched, and somehow, his previously low spirits lifted significantly. He felt this unexpected trip might not be entirely unpleasant.
“Sounds good, the corner room on the third floor,” he readily accepted her recommendation.
“So how long are you planning to stay?” she asked while browsing his information.
Wei Tianlong… not only was he handsome and elegant, but she even thought his name sounded nice!
Although it is already June and the mountain climate is still fluctuating between warm and cold, especially with the heavy rain making it feel even colder; and since he couldn’t open the windows due to the rain and had to use air conditioning while being shirtless, it would be strange if he didn’t catch a cold.
