The Struggling CEO

As always, without waiting for Wei Tianlong to request anything, Luo Yian, like a busy little bee, had already prepared everything for him.

“Tianlong, try this cheese, it’s so fragrant and rich!” Yian enthusiastically recommended. Their family had already changed from calling him Mr. Wei to Tianlong.

“You eat too, don’t just take care of me. I can’t finish this much alone,” Wei Tianlong smiled, placing a egg tart on her plate.

The Idle Cloud Mountain Villa prided itself most on its English afternoon tea. A three-tiered stand of pastries, paired with home-grown herbal tea, rich and delicious. Combined with the garden’s flowers, trees, and swing chairs, sitting under a parasol after the rain, enjoying it slowly was incredibly leisurely.

“Thank you.” A shy, charming smile played on her lovely face, most captivated by his gentlemanly manner. “By the way, after these days of heavy rain and your illness, spending all day in the room, would you like to take a walk in the back mountain?” Because it was him, Yian voluntarily offered to be a competent tour guide.

“Sure,” he immediately agreed.

He enjoyed being with her, no matter where they went.

Yian happily suggested, “Let’s ride a tandem bicycle.” The villa provided free tandem bicycles for guests to explore nearby attractions.

“But after the heavy rain, the soil might be soft. Isn’t it dangerous?” Wei Tianlong thought of the landslide from the previous day, still feeling lingering fear.

“With me, a local guide, no worries!” She winked playfully, patting her chest and boasting.

“What are we waiting for? Let’s go!” In high spirits, he immediately grabbed her wrist and set off.

Ten minutes later, Wei Tianlong and Luo Yian arrived at a slope behind the Xian Yun Villa. Because this area was undeveloped and known to few, it was quite secluded, almost uninhabited, yet possessed a serene beauty.

They parked their tandem bicycle under a large tree and walked along the small path towards the pond, a gentle breeze blowing as they chatted and laughed.

“It’s so beautiful here!” Standing at a high point, surrounded by lush trees encircling the quiet pond, Wei Tianlong couldn’t help but exclaim.

“Beautiful, right! Most people who come here are insiders or tourists introduced by the villa. Ordinary people don’t know such a beautiful place is hidden here,” Yian said animatedly.

“So, I’m lucky to have met you and see such beautiful scenery?” He raised an eyebrow and looked at her with a smile.

Her beauty required no makeup. She was natural, unpretentious, lovely, generous, and kind. Whenever she was beside him, he always felt his heart and soul expand, warm currents soothing his chest, an unconscious smile forming.

“Of course!” She proudly lifted her delicate chin, turning to him and walking backwards lightly.

“If you hadn’t been lucky enough to meet me, you’d have burned your head without being discovered, let alone taken care of!” She spoke frankly, comfortable with their familiarity.

“That’s true,” he completely agreed with her.

He was truly grateful to have met her, experiencing the shocking impact of falling quickly.

Look at her, with her cute curved eyebrows, sparkling eyes, her lovely and lively appearance radiating youth and vitality under the sunlight, a sight he couldn’t bear to look away from.

A strong desire burned within him, wanting to pinch her cheeks, hold her small hand, stroke her beautiful hair… He yearned to be closer to her, to naturally perform those intimate little gestures.

Yian noticed his dark eyes staring intently at her, his passionate gaze causing her heart to race instantly, a hot surge spreading across her chest and flooding her entire face.

Touching her burning cheeks, she shyly asked, “Is there something on my face? Why are you staring at me like that?” Her heartbeat and breathing were completely disrupted, almost losing her walking rhythm.

“Your face has adorable dimples, captivating big eyes, and a cute mouth,” he openly shared his thoughts, his appreciation and fondness evident in his eyes.

Her heart skipped a beat again. She laughed nervously and averted her gaze. “Oh… you’re flattering me!”

Slowing her bouncy steps, she returned to his side, but suddenly her feet tangled, and she stumbled.

“Ah…” A sharp cry rang out as she instinctively waved her hands to maintain balance.

“Careful,” he quickly wrapped his arm around her waist, holding her hand and saving her.

“Phew… Good thing, or I would’ve rolled down the slope like a human ball!” As she reflexively tried to pull back her hand, she realized his palm showed no sign of letting go. Yian looked at him in surprise, blinking in confusion.

Wei Tianlong gave a meaningful smile in return. Her heart raced, and she unconsciously followed his lead, moving in sync with his steady pace, an unspoken emotional current flowing between them.

They walked hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder along the path, sunlight casting their inseparable shadows.

In his teasing, Yi An was intoxicated and surrendered, her shy response exuding pure seduction, with love hidden in her heart like an unbridled wild horse, impossible to rein back.

A gentle breeze caressed, warm sunshine shone, and they exchanged their feelings by this beautiful pool, officially beginning their sweet romance.

The budding affection brewing for days, once reciprocated, spread like the most infectious virus, rapidly expanding within them.

Actually, they both had hidden concerns, yet tacitly avoided mentioning them, but both knew time was insufficient for them, so Wei Tianlong and Luo Yi An were inseparable, cherishing every precious moment together.

Life on the mountain was actually quite boring, but with each other, every minute and second passed joyfully, even the most ordinary checkers and poker games became utterly fascinating.

After dinner, they moved to the first-floor hall’s sofa area, bringing out all leisure and intellectual games, competing with childlike enthusiasm.

“You’re green, I’m pink, rock-paper-scissors, let’s see who goes first.” Yi An set up the checkers excitedly.

After a few moves, discovering her strong skills, Wei Tianlong laughed and begged for mercy. “Go easy on me, I haven’t played checkers in over a decade.”

If not for being with Yi An today, he would never have had a chance to play such games. As a leader of a major enterprise, daily affairs consumed all his time – when would he have the leisure to play children’s games? However, occasionally, it felt quite nice, allowing him to revisit childhood memories.

Many socialite beauties wanted to be close to him, but few could bring him such sweet, warm feelings, no wonder his love for her would be so swift and overwhelming.

Come to think of it, this unexpected holiday was fortunate, otherwise he wouldn’t have had extra time to develop this sweet romance.

“It’s a matter of pride, I won’t go easy!” she playfully wrinkled her nose.

“Oh, you’re so cocky? Wait and see how I’ll win!” he rolled up his sleeves dramatically.

“Ha, let’s make it best of three. If you lose, you’ll carry me to the orchard tomorrow,” she said confidently.

“If I win…” he leaned close, whispering something in her ear.

Her almond eyes widened, her small face blushing like a ripe peach, instantly pushing him away to create distance.

Though her parents didn’t forbid her from dating, they were somewhat critical of his status as an out-of-town visitor, so it was best not to appear too intimate to avoid parental concern.

“Hmph, winning me won’t be that easy!” she shot him a coquettish glance, making several jumps to demonstrate her strength.

Wei Tianlong wasn’t about to back down, using her path to jump straight to the doorway.

Just as it was Yi An’s turn again, Luo’s mother, walking from the counter, suddenly announced a news that could be considered good or bad—
