The Undead

Abbas had keen senses – the White Eagle unit was the elite among special forces. Each member had undergone countless life-and-death trials, and heightened sensory perception was normal. However, he wasn’t particularly cunning, and due to his excessive silence, he often gave an impression of being dull.

This impression caused Abbas to suffer during the period when Noah Chong was the base instructor.

Noah Chong had a cruel personality that starkly contrasted with his beautiful appearance. He seemed to especially enjoy targeting outstanding Alpha trainees. Abbas, who had little presence, was often overlooked.

His colleague Jane wasn’t so lucky; this female Alpha was known for her arrogant and domineering personality, and during her years of training at the White Eagle base, Noah Chong had struck her several times.

Abbas held his cigarette, looking up at the second floor.

The surroundings were empty, with distant patrol soldiers passing by, their footsteps uniform and precise.

At the corridor’s corner, Si Nan stood sideways, hidden in the darkness, his slanted eyes flickering with a hint of cold light.

As the patrol soldiers gradually moved away, Abbas sat back on the steps, looking down through the railing, watching the white smoke of the cigarette slowly rising before him.

In the same instant, Si Nan leaped down.

Whoosh—

The moment the wind brushed past, Abbas instinctively turned back, but was already half a beat too late. A cold hand pressed on the back of his neck, and Abbas could only roar and struggle. The male Alpha, nearly two meters tall, twisted with tremendous force, causing both of them to fall together!

“Who is it?!”

The potted plant at the corridor entrance toppled with a crash, rolling down the steps. Si Nan delivered a hurricane-like kick that sent Abbas’s military knife spinning out of his hand, clanging to the ground!

Abbas blurted out: “It’s you…”

Before he could finish, his chest was struck like a heavy blow, blood rushing to his throat. Si Nan leveraged his body, and in that instant, Abbas grabbed his ankle. Their lightning-fast confrontation was over in a flash.

—Bang!

Abbas’s shocking palm strength instantly crushed Si Nan’s ankle bone with a dangerous cracking sound. But immediately after, Si Nan’s ghostlike second kick cut through the air, solidly striking Abbas’s cheek!

The nearly two-meter-tall Alpha was sent flying, crashing to the ground, with intense dizziness almost consuming his consciousness.

“Where is Romuel?”

Abbas’s throat tightened, his upper body almost lifted by Si Nan:

“Tell me!” Si Nan shouted: “Where is Romuel!”

Si Nan suddenly withdrew his hand, his five fingers stained with blood, and immediately pursued closely. Zheng Xie couldn’t even call out to stop him before Si Nan had already pinned the struggling Abbas to the ground, his hands pressing down on both sides of his head, about to twist with force.

Zheng Xie: “Wait…”

A black shadow whooshed through the air, striking Si Nan’s back of the head like lightning, instantly throwing him to the ground!

This unexpected turn of events caught everyone off guard. The black object landed with a clang – it was actually a metal knife handle!

Following its trajectory, a blonde, blue-eyed Alpha female had just thrown a patrol soldier over her shoulder, knocking him unconscious. She then quickly stepped forward and grabbed Si Nan from the ground.

“Jane!” Romule called out with a tone of restraint.

Si Nan immediately coughed up blood, grabbing the hand holding his collar. Although he knew this former instructor could snap bones in less than half a second, at this moment, Jane’s movements were even faster. She delivered a steel-like punch directly into Si Nan’s abdomen!

There was a subtle sound of internal organs being compressed, and then Jane raised her fist again—

The surrounding area was noisy with patrol soldiers rushing in. Zheng Xie gritted his teeth and drew his gun from his chest, suddenly feeling a gust of wind beside him – it was Romule grabbing the railing and leaping down to the open ground.

“Jane! Be careful!”

Before the female Alpha could react, a powerful force gripped her throat, forcibly flipping her over. Jane, completely caught off guard by the sneak attack, grabbed the arm choking her throat, breaking free just before suffocation, her body arching into a U-shape, ready to kick the attacker in the face. Jane retracted her leg and sprung up like a carp, shouting, “Who?!”

The next moment, her seductive eyes narrowed, seemingly surprised.

Standing half a step back was a young girl in camouflage shorts, half a head shorter, with a small, sharp face showing ferocity and provocation.

Jane detected the same scent from this girl – she was also an Alpha.

Romule abruptly stopped, enunciating each word: “Zhou, Rong.”

Zhou Rong was tall, with an intense presence. The scene suddenly became tense. Unlike Romule, Zhou Rong looked completely relaxed, flicking her thumb on the knife handle, causing a triangular military knife to spring out, which she casually held, lazily greeting:

“Hey! Brother-in-law!”

“Colonel Zhou!” Old General Zheng came downstairs with his gun, furious: “Stop!”

The tense situation was on the verge of explosion, with everyone frozen, no one daring to move first.

In those few unbearably long seconds of silence, Si Nan slowly rose against the wall, covering his mouth with his fist and coughing twice.

Zhou Rong said: “Chun Cao.”

Chun Cao stared intently at the white female Alpha, “Yes.”

Zhou Rong, without turning back, gave a concise order: “Beat her to death.

★ Chapter 69

Zheng, the deputy general, choked back his words. Seeing Chuncao, without hesitation, she lifted her skirt and drew a curved knife from the leather sheath on her outer thigh.

“No…”

Before Zheng could finish his sentence, he was abruptly silenced.”

The simple knife’s edge was blocked by the curved knife, with a loud metal collision!

“Little girl,” Jian said coldly.

Chuncao didn’t pause: “Old woman.”

Jian: “…”

The two knife edges touched and separated, then clashed, instantly like a rainstorm beating plum blossoms. The sharp light was so intense it was impossible to look directly at, causing the patrolling soldiers to retreat in fear.

“What are you doing?” Zheng fired a warning shot into the air and shouted: “Stop right now! Colonel Zhou!”

The dagger swept across, spraying blood below Chuncao’s collarbone. In an instant, her hand grabbed the dagger-wielding hand. With a thunderous sound, Chuncao kicked Jian back several steps, with a spray erupting from her throat!

Zheng: “Zhou…”

“Lieutenant,” Zhou Rong interrupted, standing firmly in front of Luo Muer. The atmosphere was tense, but his voice was calm: “Don’t call the wrong rank, General.”

“Underdeveloped stupid girl,” Jian wiped the blood from her mouth, gritting her teeth: “Who are you calling an old woman?”

Chuncao didn’t answer, grinning and cracking her knuckles, then launching an arrow-like step forward!

The previous kick had made Jian realize that this girl’s muscles and bones were more like a steel tank. She caught Chuncao’s incoming punch.

At that moment, it felt like catching a heavy and fierce iron ball. The punch’s momentum made her arm bend backward, with her shoulder blade making a crisp cracking sound.

“Damn!”

Jian cursed, throwing Chuncao over her shoulder and stabbing the dagger towards her face.

Instantly, with a loud “clang!”, Chuncao’s curved knife blocked the dagger’s tip. From her falling position, she smoothly slid from under Jian’s feet, performed a lightning-fast fish-leaping move, and precisely kicked the dagger away with her tiptoe!
