“Brother Liu, you have deep insights on the Mo Ye Sword. Could I possibly see this sword?” Zhao Kuangyin suddenly asked. “So, your aim is the Mo Ye Sword?” Liu Bugun was taken aback. “Not at all, we are mere mortals; the Mo Ye Sword in our hands would just be a piece of scrap metal. Legend says only the blood of Zi Yue can unlock the sword’s seal; without it, the sword is useless.” “Indeed, the legend says so,” Liu Bugun nodded. “Have you found Mo Ye and Zi Yue?” Zhao Kuangyin inquired further. “In the vast sea of people, how easy could it be?” Liu Bugun shook his head. “Brother Liu, if you ever need my help, please don’t hesitate to ask,” Zhao Kuangyin raised his cup in a toast.
Returning to the tent where Xu Caitong was resting, Liu Bugun found her asleep. Watching her sleep, he wondered if she had dreamt of the soul-summoning incident from before. Seeing her even breathing and charming sleeping posture, he couldn’t resist kissing her. Xu Caitong woke up to feel a warm mouth on her skin, the scent of wine mixed with Liu Bugun’s unique aroma. She murmured, “Bugun.” “Lady Caihong,” Liu Bugun said, seeing Xu Caitong’s sleepy eyes, which only made her more alluring. His eyes were filled with desire, and Xu Caitong wasn’t frightened by the passion in them. Liu Bugun embraced her, whispering something indistinct as he kissed her and undid her garments. Xu Caitong closed her eyes, a wave of heat washing over her.
Suddenly, she saw visions from long ago, of him dancing with her on clouds, sailing through a sea of mist, embracing and kissing her in the chaos, calling her name, telling her he loved her. They landed amidst auspicious clouds, where he picked a beautiful flower and placed it in her hair. He held her, calling her name, “Zi Yue, I love you.” “Mo Ye…” Xu Caitong murmured in a daze. “Hmm…” Liu Bugun responded, not hearing clearly what she called out, her flawless skin making him parched. He removed his clothes, pressing his bare skin against hers.
“Bugun,” Xu Caitong whispered, panting. “Caihong, I love you,” Liu Bugun buried his head in her chest, kissing every inch of her skin. “Where are we?” Xu Caitong asked, momentarily lost. “We’re in the mist, among the clouds,” Liu Bugun answered. “Really?” Xu Caitong opened her eyes, her gaze filled with affection and desire, making her even more enchanting. Looking around at the tent, she felt as if she were truly among the clouds and mist. Lying beneath him, the initial pain from their passion was quickly drowned by the flames of desire, her soft moans echoing as she clung to his shoulders.
