He was a living dead man, with no one holding expectations for him, and he was too lazy to look or listen to anything in this world. Even if occasionally interested in someone or something, that interest would quickly fade. Moreover, the person he was interested in seemed to despise him, her entire being pushing him away.
Yue Linze took a deep breath and spread his arms, falling into the water.
After swimming a distance, Tao Yu suddenly realized no one was following. Turning back, she saw nothing on the sea surface. “Yue Linze!” she shouted.
No response. Tao Yu was stunned but still tried to swim towards the water despite her weakness.
Yue Linze, slowly sinking and enjoying the suffocation, vaguely heard someone calling his name. The voice was so plaintive, as if his disappearance was a massive event. Opening his eyes underwater, he saw the female guard swimming desperately towards him, her panic and worry making it seem like he was incredibly important to her.
Not angry anymore? Yue Linze was first stunned, then a hint of a smile appeared in his eyes. When she reached him, he embraced her and kissed her.
Tao Yu swam over and saw him with his eyes closed, thinking he had fainted. But as soon as she arrived, he opened his eyes and pulled her into his embrace.
She almost gasped out all her air, then realized he was tricking her. She immediately hit him angrily twice, but she was already somewhat exhausted. After hitting him twice, her arm weakened and fell limp on his shoulder.
Her survival instinct kept her from paying attention to Yue Linze’s continuous advances. She just pinched a bit of flesh on his neck with her fingers, wanting him to take her up.
Yue Linze also realized she was somewhat oxygen-deprived. He swept his large hand, letting her two long legs rest on his waist, and supported her neck as he surfaced.
The first thing Tao Yu did upon getting fresh air was breathe, but Yue Linze wouldn’t let her go, continuously tracing her lip shape until she slapped him, and he finally breathed and let her go. “Continue on shore?”
“Continue your ass,” Tao Yu said coldly, having gone through this several times and now out of patience.
Yue Linze’s face was full of smiles. “Why did you save me?”
