Yandere Begs for a Break – Part One

Yue Linze watched her drink water evenly, and Tao Yu stole a glance at him, feeling there was something hidden beneath this calm surface. After moistening her throat, she put down the cup and asked, “Has Yue Linying been arrested?”

“Already arrested,” Yue Linze said slowly.

Tao Yu nodded, continuing to ask, “And your… dad?”

“Brain hemorrhage, sent to the hospital,” Yue Linze answered, anticipating her further questions and resolving them in advance, “I’ve taken over the Yue family. When they’re capable of returning, they’ll have nothing left.”

Tao Yu silently met his gaze, after a while asking, “Were you the one who saved me when I was about to freeze to death?”

“Yes.”

… So he could walk on his own legs outside now. But why, when all these sources of grievance were resolved, hadn’t her mission been successful? Tao Yu smiled and applauded the punishment of the bad guys on the surface, but her mind was a mess.

Yue Linze saw her staring blankly at him, a hint of a smile appearing in his eyes. He leaned down, pressing her onto the bed, his entire body suspended above her.

Tao Yu suddenly came to her senses, immediately pushing her small hands against his chest. When the warm heartbeat transmitted from her palms to her brain, she realized her posture looked like a coy invitation, and her hands immediately retracted as if shocked.

“Sir, please calm down,” Tao Yu said with difficulty, her eyes darting around. Wherever her gaze fell, it was met with strong, powerful muscles, making her feel uncomfortable looking anywhere.

“Didn’t you sacrifice so much for this day?” Yue Linze’s pitch-black eyes stared at her unblinkingly, like a predator fixated on long-awaited prey.

She was his, Yue Linze thought, looking at her gradually reddening face, with absolute certainty.

When did it start? When she took the initiative to drive away Zhou Yanran? Or when she sat in the rehabilitation room all morning, afraid of waking him? Or perhaps when she blocked a cup for him…

Yue Linze couldn’t pinpoint exactly when, so he didn’t dwell on it, only certain that the person before him was his possession.
