Don’t Mess with the CEO

“Ding Qing Yan,” he swallowed the delicious fried shrimp, his eyes narrowing dangerously. “I was in an important meeting.”

“And I was waiting for you.”

“You cannot arbitrarily shut down my computer and interrupt my meeting.”

His expressionless face had intimidated countless business warriors, but it didn’t scare her.

“Great, then you also cannot interfere with my work or unilaterally ask my boss to assign me some irrelevant tasks.”

He narrowed his eyes. “These are not the same thing.”

“Of course they can be compared,” she grabbed a salmon sushi and stuffed it into his mouth. “They’re both work-related issues.”

“I’m protecting your personal safety. Women shouldn’t always put themselves in danger.”

“I’m also ensuring your physical and mental health. Men shouldn’t always ruin their bodies trying to earn more money.”

“You really like causing trouble.”

“You really like provoking me, this troublemaker,” she said deliberately sweetly.

He narrowed his eyes and stared at her for a while. “You’re being cheeky.”

“You’re in the wrong.”

“You want to do something dangerous, don’t you?”

“If interviewing news is a dangerous thing, then yes, I like it,” she said even more sweetly.

“I’ll make you love another kind of dangerous activity.”

He picked up the lunch box, grabbed her arm, and walked out.

Passing the secretary’s desk, he dropped a line: “I won’t be back in the office today.”

“Hey, where are you taking me?” Being held by him, she felt the massive difference in physical strength; she couldn’t break free.

He didn’t answer.

“Hey, you haven’t finished your lunch!” As soon as the words left her mouth, she wanted to bite off her own tongue.

Why was she saying this? As if she really cared about him!

He took her into the elevator, pressed the button, and stuffed the lunch box into her other hand.

“With your superior skills, you can definitely stuff all of these into my mouth before we reach our destination.”

“What is this ghostly place?”

After a forty-minute drive, Wei Zhan Yi’s Rolls-Royce entered the private driveway of an abandoned villa.

The garden was already desolate, flowers withered, overgrown with weeds, trees untrimmed, branches so lush they were almost eerily dense. But even so, it was clear this had once been a very luxurious villa.

“Why did you bring me here?” she was a bit scared.

Although the sun was still bright at just past four in the afternoon, when the wind rustled through the treetops, it sounded like someone whimpering in the darkness, making her skin crawl.

He responded with a smile that held no trace of humor. “Are you only starting to worry about your chastity now?

You dare to mess around, I’ll kill you.” She glared at him angrily.

He didn’t take it seriously. “Come with me.”

He took out a key, inserted it into the rusty keyhole, and after a few clicking sounds, finally opened the door.

Turning on the light, he entered the villa and turned a corner to the dilapidated hall. He opened the window, expelling the almost stagnant, stuffy air.

She walked and looked around, feeling slightly nervous. It wasn’t that she was afraid he would do something to her… If he wanted to, they had passed countless motels on the way. Although she had no experience, she knew that when men get excited, they can’t restrain themselves.

”Take a look around, I’ll be right back,” Wei Zhanyi instructed.

”Hey, what’s there to see?” she shouted, but he had already vanished.

Indeed, there was nothing to see. The house was in terrible disrepair. Besides the wallpaper and fixed decorations, the floor and walls only showed traces of once-luxurious furniture. Even the fluorescent light on the ceiling was clearly a later addition, with marks indicating a large crystal chandelier had once hung there.

Wei Zhanyi came out, holding two thick cotton gloves and two large hammers.

He gave her a large iron hammer and a pair of cotton gloves, skillfully putting on his own gloves.

”What for?” Even if they were to duel, wouldn’t they use a knife or gun? Using hammers… wouldn’t that be too brutal?

Before she could protest, Wei Zhanyi ordered, “Just do as I say.”

Seeing him swing a large iron hammer and strike the wall, creating a big hole in the decoration.

She was startled. “What are you doing? Don’t you think this is too violent?”

He raised the large iron hammer and struck again forcefully. “Demolish this house.”

  ”Why?”

”This house was previously Wang Jinqiang’s property. Before he could get his hands on it, this was my home.”

  ”What?”

”After Wang Jinqiang declared bankruptcy, this villa became mine again.”

He gestured for her to do the same. Rarely hearing him mention this name, she didn’t want to miss any opportunity to understand him. She quickly put on her gloves and struck the wall. “If this was once your home, why are you demolishing it?”

  ”To end the hatred.”

”Didn’t you already complete your revenge plan?” According to her knowledge, the three people who had framed his father had already been disgraced and imprisoned. If he wanted revenge, he had already succeeded, hadn’t he?

”This house is the last thorn in my eye.” He turned around. “Fourteen years ago, my father died of a heart attack here while struggling with the police.”

No wonder the house felt so eerie! Qing Yan rubbed her arms. “Hey, don’t scare me.”

He raised the iron hammer again and struck the wall heavily. “I’m not scaring you. Start demolishing!”

”Why did you bring me to smash this house?” Qing Yan felt frustrated. “Don’t you have a brother and sister? If you want to end the hatred, couldn’t you have them come and help you demolish it?”

”Do you mean you want to give up the chance to hear my past?”

She stared at him, almost unable to believe what she heard.

This meant… he was going to reveal an exclusive story to her? What had she done to make him decide to share his life story? Was it when she forcefully fed him sushi? Or used a one-finger technique to end the video conference?

Qing Yan seemed to see the exclusive interview she had personally written waving at her. Her long-held wish was tempting her to join his violent destruction.

Her eyes brightened, she firmly shook her head, and swung the large iron hammer.

”No, I definitely won’t give up.” With another strike, more holes appeared in the wall. “Hurry up and tell me! I can’t wait to listen.”

From Ji’er’s “Don’t Mess with the Domineering CEO”

Chapter 5 ”Fourteen years ago… no, even earlier, those people were already coveting the Wei family’s assets.”

”You mean Wang Jinqiang, Lin Jiade, and Gao Fengyong?” She mentioned the three names constantly reported by the media when the news broke half a year ago.

”Exactly. They were my father’s junior colleagues, smart and cunning. All from poor backgrounds, they had made some achievements in the business world over the years, turned their lives around, and become boss-level figures. Theoretically, they should have been satisfied. My father, to be frank, did not have business acumen… or perhaps he did have business skills, but his personality was straightforward, with likes and dislikes apparent at a glance, unsuited to surviving in the treacherous business world. Fortunately, he was self-aware and knew that maintaining what he had was already good enough.” He laughed sarcastically.

”Those three were originally his closest confidants, often coming to our home. The four families were like one family.”

She shivered. Close like family, yet still betrayal?

  ”But why…”

”Dissatisfaction. The arrogance of intelligent people.”

  ”What do you mean?”
