Myth of Madness

“I guarantee that when we get back, she’ll still be reading her book!” Xu Xuen didn’t wait for him to respond, she started the scooter outside the door.

“Such impatience.” Meng Bin shook his head with a chuckle, following her footsteps out, making sure to close the wooden door carefully behind him.

“High school boy, hurry up!”

Xu Xuen had already mounted the scooter, her feet still tapping impatiently, urging him to move faster.

“I have a name, I’m called Meng Bin.”

“Looking at how slow you are, you don’t live up to your name at all,” Xu Xuen scoffed.

“Compared to your haste, the character ‘Bin’ suits you better. Or maybe ‘rush’ or ‘chaos’ would fit too,” he teased her.

Unexpectedly, he would hear this, Xu Xuen glared at him, her eyebrows knitted in anger. Bad person! Bad heart! Bad face! Bad lips! She gritted her teeth in frustration.

Looking at this guy, with his sharp features and an air of misfortune, plus those slightly bent, captivating eyes, he must have broken many girls’ hearts. Then there was that overly thin, annoying lips, and those seemingly elegant brows that were just for show. This man was completely different from how he looked when asleep!

She regretted saving him. If she had known, letting him die or letting him suffer would have been better than inviting a nuisance. Xu Xuen stared at his face, her heart slowly boiling with fresh anger.

“Why are you staring at me like that? Let’s go.”

This little girl, sometimes she’s even more interesting than her sister. Her personality is both impatient and impulsive, a bit like a firecracker. Living with her should be quite entertaining. Shaobing put on a helmet for safety, then firmly sat down behind her.

“What a narcissist! No wonder he’s so annoying…” Xu Xian’en muttered to herself again, but still reluctantly pedaled away.

The first minute passed in silence.

In the second minute, Shaobing coughed awkwardly a couple of times, but no one paid him any mind.

By the third minute, he couldn’t stand it anymore and tried to find something to talk about.

“Uh…” It was an interjection because he didn’t know how to continue.

“Do you need to use the bathroom?” She stopped the scooter by the roadside. “Go ahead.”
