The Duke’s Affair – Part Two [Complited]

“The master said that since you haven’t fully recovered from your injuries, you cannot leave.” Zeta replied with a polite smile.

“Go tell him I want to go out, he has no right to confine my freedom!”

“…” Zeta was speechless, just signaling the bodyguards to close the main door downstairs, indicating it was out of his hands… Frustrated, Ye Ye plopped onto the sofa, picked up the phone, and called Dean. After five seconds, Dean’s magnetic, deep voice came through, “Ye Ye—?” His tone was questioning and helpless…

“I want to go out, but Uncle Zeta says you won’t allow it!”

“Yes, you’re a patient, you must stay home and rest!” Dean said firmly.

“But I want to go shopping and buy things!”

“Can’t you shop online? Whatever you want, buy it online, and send the bill to me!” Dean said lightly.

“So, you’re really not letting me go out, are you?”

“You got that right!”

“Alright… Can I buy anything I want, and you’ll pay for it?”

“Yes!” Dean immediately regretted his words, hoping she wouldn’t buy another dog, quickly adding, “But no living things!”

“Okay, come back early to keep me company, I’ll be good and shop online!” Ye Ye hung up before Dean could respond. Dean stared at the now silent phone, sighed helplessly. When was the last time a woman hung up on him? Was he really that free? Or just idle? Weren’t the carefree days better? Why did he have to take on such a burden…

Bouncing with excitement, Ye Ye, with her bell-tagged Baron, went upstairs to the study. She turned on the computer, and with a mischievous grin, she started her online shopping spree… Since someone was footing the bill, why be polite… [From Passion to Ardor: Chapter Seventy-One, Ye Ye’s Assurance]

Dean returned to the villa after finishing his business, and as soon as he got out of the car, he saw Ye Ye eagerly waiting at the villa’s entrance, looking expectant. His heart filled with joy, thinking she missed him so much… Approaching Ye Ye, “Ye Ye.” He hugged her gently, scanning her face, still pale and weak, yet full of mischief. “Oh—” Ye Ye didn’t even look at Dean, giving a perfunctory “oh,” and continued to stretch her neck, looking intently at the villa’s large iron gate… Dean furrowed his brows, realizing she wasn’t waiting for him. “What are you looking at?”

“Waiting for my delivery!”

“You bought something?”

“Yes!”

“What is it?”
