The New Daughter of the Wind
Author: Rong Feng
Chapter 1
Foreword
This story was written four years ago. At that time, I was deeply moved by the poignant love between Huisu and Qu in “Irresistible Love,” and touched by the timeless romance of Sir Edward and Lady Elizabeth in “The Crown of Annihilation.” True love knows no right or wrong.
This should be my favorite story. Although it borrows many elements from “Irresistible Love,” it’s because I love that story so much. Here, I express all my disdain for worldly conventions, all my thoughts of straying from the beaten path, perhaps because I was young and fearless. Now, I might not have such courage anymore. Fortunately, I’ve already finished writing this story.
No matter if you like it or not, I must say one thing: truly loving someone means not caring about too much.
Love Beyond Worldly Conventions
Defying divine punishment,
Unconcerned with the gaze of others,
Pursuing true love in life,
Even if bearing the burden of love’s stigma for a lifetime,
Without complaint or regret.
This stigma,
Is the mark of sin,
But also the proof of my love for you.
Love and sin,
Which will ultimately prevail?
Chapter 1
From the age of ten, he often had the same dream. He held a little girl in his arms, embracing her tightly, as if he would never let go. The girl’s long hair, like threads of emotion, wrapped around him, making it hard to breathe.
The girl was named Yefeng, his sister!
Yaye woke up from the dream. Why did he think of her again? Was it because he was too excited just now? He glanced at the beauty lying beside him, his desire receding like a tide, he wouldn’t seek her out again.
Putting on his trousers, he leaned against the window, smoking, his long hair covering his beautiful face, striking a wild pose.
Tomorrow, he would return to Taipei. Perhaps that was the reason.
“I can only ever feel brotherly love for you, nothing more!”
This was a sentence Yaye could never forget. She was his sister, she would never accept him.
“Yaye, what are you thinking?” The woman on the bed, Hongge Xing, Wunei Aizi, walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind, “Up so early?”
“Don’t bother me.” He pushed her hands away, “I’m leaving.”
“Yaye.” Aizi watched helplessly as he put on his shirt and jacket. “Will you come to find me when you return?”
A slight, cold smile appeared on his handsome face. “If she wants me to…”
“What did you say?” She didn’t hear clearly.
Yaye opened the door. “See you.”
Posters advertising the Wind God BAND were visible everywhere on the streets of Taipei.
The “Wind God” band has been a red-hot male band group in Southeast Asia for the past three years. According to insiders, this whirlwind is expected to grow even fiercer in the coming years.
The lead singer, Yaye, is 20 years old, born in Taiwan, according to reports. He has a handsome face, stands at 1.88 meters tall, with a typical European male physique. His wild long hair drives millions of young girls into a frenzied admiration.
Keyboards – Tian Zhongwen Shan, 27 years old. As the oldest member of the band, he has a handsome face and is the band’s leader.
Bass – Bing Bing Qiang, 17 years old, still a high school student. Despite his cute appearance, he’s actually a bit of a delinquent. Strangely enough, he only listens to Tian Zhongwen Shan.
Guitarist – Ji Tu Zhong Qianlin, 24 years old. He has quite feminine features, often making the other band members laugh. He openly expresses his affection for Ya Ya.
Drummer – Zhu Nei Zhengxiu, 22 years old. Before joining the band, he was a well-known playboy. Now, he competes with Ya Ya for the affections of female fans, striving to stay in the band.
The band’s manager, Ling Mu Chun, is a capable young woman. She’s always surrounded by a group of male fans, showing her strong influence.
The wind gently paused in front of the sea report. On the advertisement, Ya Ya’s cool, indifferent face, with his cold, nonchalant gaze, seemed to draw women in.
No, he just looks a bit like Wu Feng. Ye Wu Feng, her brother who has been away from home for four years, where are you now?
“I love you, don’t run away from me!” The passionate words, filled with pain and longing, accompanied by a wild look in his eyes, seemed to bring the poster of Ya Ya to life. Ye Feng’s heart tightened, and the memories she had sealed away were awakened by this face.
She’s his sister, how could he possibly love her? Forget it, Wu Feng has been missing for so long, thinking about him is meaningless!
Ye Feng, now 24, works as a kindergarten teacher. She’s not very tall, only 1.60 meters. With her adorable face and neat, spirited short hair, she loves to laugh, always leaving a bright and cheerful impression on people, which is why her young friends adore her.
To this day, Feng’s emotional world remains empty. It’s not that there are no men interested in her; she just never gives anyone a chance.
Ya Ya returned to his own home. He pressed the record button on his phone.
“Ya Ya, Ling Mu Chun. I’ll pick you up for the 9:00 AM flight tomorrow. Go to bed early tonight, and don’t drink!”
Ya Ya listened while taking a bottle of white wine from the liquor cabinet. If he didn’t drink, he’d start overthinking.
Ye Feng, after all these years, how have you been? You must have found someone who loves you, and you must be very happy. I can’t go and bother you anymore.
“Ya Ya, little Shan. I just got back from the US. When you have time, let’s meet up? I still love you like before.”
What does mutual exploitation in love mean? Hugging, kissing, making love, both physically and mentally exhausted. But without it, the one you truly love doesn’t want you. Feng, Feng!
Ya Ya seemed to see her figure before him, with her long hair flowing, her smile charming.
“Feng?” He reached out, “You’re here?”
She smiled warmly, taking his hand. “Sorry to keep you waiting for so long.”
He embraced her, holding her soft body tightly. “As long as you love me, that’s enough.”
Ya Ya, drunk, lay collapsed on the floor, murmuring “Feng” softly.
The next morning, Ling Mu Chun rushed over to Ya Ya’s house. It was noon when she finally saw him open the door.
“You didn’t even listen to my message properly.” She pushed him into the bathroom, “Hurry up!”
So last night was just a spring dream! How could she possibly come to Beijing?
“Yaya, time’s running out. Please hurry.” Chun picked up the wine bottles scattered on the floor, shaking her head in exasperation. “Can’t you take care of yourself a bit? Show some restraint? And that Zheng Zheng, he’s just as manipulative as you are!”
On the day Fengshen BAND arrived at Taoyuan Airport, Taipei’s traffic was severely congested. Both inside and outside the airport were packed with frenzied fans.
“Yaya, I love you!”
“Zheng Zheng, so cool, I love you to death!”
“Bing, oh, he looked at me!”
As soon as the band members stepped out of the airport, the female fans were ecstatic, pushing forward recklessly, trying to break through the security line.
After much difficulty in breaking through the crowd, they each took their pre-arranged cars. Chun let out a long sigh.
“Those fans of yours are really crazy.”
Yaya took off his sunglasses, revealing an overly handsome face. This was his charm, the source of women’s love and hate. “It’s so annoying. Why reveal my whereabouts in advance?”
“You’re so cold. They are all your fans. Plus, the media will find out anyway, you can’t escape them.” Chun was somewhat displeased. She was a romantic idealist and still not quite used to Yaya’s style.
He smiled, or rather, just twitched the corner of his mouth. “Chun, you’re not cut out to be a manager.” His hand awkwardly circled her waist.
“Yaya, don’t be too much!” Chun’s face flushed red.
