The Mysterious Bride of the Wind God

“Everyone in this circle is used to playing games. You’re too serious.” He leaned over, “I won’t let any woman who can be with me go.”

“You, disgusting!” She pushed him away, “I don’t need you.”

He loosened his grip, chuckling, “Can’t even hug? You’re quite a beauty too.”

She turned her head away, ignoring him.

The car stopped at the entrance of the Hilton Hotel. Again, there were crowds of fans. With the help of hotel security, they managed to enter.

“I’ll go with you to your room first.”

As he stepped into the elevator, Yaya suddenly felt a surge of genuine emotion. Taipei, the wind of nostalgia. I’m back!

Do you want to see her? You’ve loved her for so many years, but this love is forbidden. With the blood feud between you, you can’t break through this barrier. Ye Wu Feng, the wisest choice is to never see her again! Finish the concert peacefully, then return to Japan! Never meet again!

He opened the door with the magnetic card, and the room service staff pulled open the curtains, pointing out everything for Chun. “Thank you.” Chun tipped him.

“Rest a bit. I’ll go downstairs to pick up Zheng Zheng and the others.”

Suddenly, Yaya hugged her tightly from behind. “Stay with me, I need you.”

She struggled desperately. “Yaya, you should have someone important to you now. Don’t deceive your own heart anymore.”

He let go, collapsing onto the sofa. Just thinking of her made him lose his composure. Feng, I must control myself from seeking you out!

Parents’ Day was a bright and sunny day, and Feng Feng was feeling rather annoyed. Secretly, she wished for an overcast and rainy day, at least without such dazzling sunlight.

“Mom, Dad, I’m sorry. I still haven’t found Wu Feng, I’m sorry!” After offering flowers and silently praying for a moment, she picked up her bag, ready to leave.

A tall man wearing sunglasses approached her. Seeing her, he slightly adjusted his stance. Then, he immediately took off his sunglasses, revealing a handsome face. “Long time no see, sister!”

“What, you are…” Ye Feng Feng stammered, “How do you look like…”

“I’m Ye Wu Feng! Your beloved brother! And now my name is—Feng Jian Ya.”

“Feng Jian Ya? You, Ye Wu Feng, are Feng Jian Ya, you really are him! I thought how could someone look so much like you.” She was excited, her mind a bit muddled. “You grew your hair out, and the way you appeared in front of the camera was a bit different, so I didn’t recognize you.”

“All for the sake of publicity.”

“Dad, Mom must be so happy.” She laughed radiantly, extending her hand to pull his. “It’s so good you’re back.”

His heart raced, pounding. “You hoped I would come back?” He asked with a hint of anticipation.

“You’re the brother I’ve been looking for four years. I didn’t expect you to be Feng Jian Ya, otherwise, I would have gone to Japan to find you earlier.”

“Just because I’m your brother?”

His subtle tone swept away her joy. After four years, could he still not forget? She let go of his hand, her head drooping. “Besides that, there’s no other reason.”

Ya also smiled sadly. He knew her answer; he asked only to confirm it.

“Sister, may I invite you for a drink? Would you do me the honor?”

“Wu Feng, you are my brother, don’t use that tone with me.” Feng Feng followed him to their parents’ grave.

Ya also offered the bouquet in his hands, looking at the kind smiles of their parents.

“I always think, if God hadn’t made me born, or hadn’t made us siblings, how wonderful that would have been.”

“If that’s what you think, you might as well not have come back.” She said sullenly.

“Do you think I wanted to? In Japan for four years, I’ve been warning myself not to come back to find you. Even today, I didn’t expect to see you. For your happiness, I wouldn’t mind not seeing the one I love the most!”

“Wu Feng…”

He turned around, gazing at her face. “Sister, you’re crying.” He raised his hand, wiping away her tears; retracting his hand, he touched his lips, tasting her tears.

Ye Feng Feng trembled all over. No one had ever treated her so tenderly, and this person was her only brother! It was terrifying!

“Don’t treat me like this!” She clenched her fists. “Ye Wu Feng, you shouldn’t have come back!”

Ya also placed his hand on her shoulder, feeling her whole body stiffen. “Are you so afraid of me? Sister, I ran away from you four years ago, I won’t let you go again!” He gave a cold smile.

Four years ago, Ye Feng felt as though the wind around her had formed a vortex, forcefully trying to pull her into it. No, I won’t think of him anymore! She heard the sound of something shattering, a memory she desperately tried to escape. It was in vain; all her defenses crumbled the moment she saw him.

Her vision darkened, and Ye Feng fainted into his embrace.

Ya also laughed in deep sorrow, a fate destined in life. It’s not that I’m unwilling to let go, but fate has arranged for you to return to my side once more. This time, I will hold your hand tightly, never letting go.

No matter how painful, no matter how many people might get hurt, I will not flee again. Ye Feng, please love me, okay? This is the only humble request I make to the heavens.

Chapter Two

“Get up, Ye Wufeng! You’re going to be late for class!”

“Ow, sister, don’t be so cruel.” Ye Wufeng, his quilt yanked away, reluctantly opened his eyes, “You’re so mean.”

“Who told me to wake you up so early?” Feng asked directly into his face.

“Your hair!” Wufeng couldn’t believe his eyes. He jumped out of bed, touching her short hair. “You cut your hair, why? I loved your beautiful long hair.”

“Hello, can you stop freaking out? I cut my own hair.” Feng pushed him away, “Quickly get dressed. You have five minutes to brush your teeth and wash your face.” She went to the kitchen to heat up the milk.

She had kept her silky long hair for ten years; how could she bear to part with it? Wufeng couldn’t understand. Facing the milk and bread, he pursued her, “Tell me the reason.”

“We’re not rich anymore. Dad’s gone, and we can only rely on that small laundry shop to live. I want to work harder; I can’t let you be looked down upon for our welfare. So, focus on your studies, and sister will take care of everything!” Her sweet face was adorned with a smile that belied her determination.

“You’ve already given up college for me; was cutting your hair for the same reason?”

“Yes, I made the decision this morning. It saves water and shampoo.”

It must be because of the guy in front of her, Wufeng thought painfully. “I can’t let you sacrifice alone; I’ll shave my head too.”

“You dare!” Feng glared at him. “If you touch that Western-style hairstyle, I’ll beat you up.”

Feng was a fan of manga. Seeing Edward Elric from “Fullmetal Alchemist,” she immediately took Wufeng’s head as her experimental subject, designing a similar hairstyle for him. Keeping such long hair violated school rules, yet this sister decided to let him use it to intimidate the principal into granting him first place.

“I won’t go.” He stared at her, his captivating eyes full of warmth.

“My dear brother, you can use those eyes on your sister, but for heaven’s sake, don’t attract a swarm of crazy fans.” Feng leaned towards him, “Do you have a girl you like?”

He jumped in surprise, “Why ask that all of a sudden?”

“Because I care about you! My brother is so cool; there’s no way no girl has confessed to you. Tell me, I won’t laugh at you.”

“Girls are so annoying. But,” he looked at her, “I do have someone I like, someone I’m fond of to the point of life.”

“Who is that person?” she asked curiously.

“I can’t say. She doesn’t like me; it’s quite embarrassing,” he laughed, “I should go, or I’ll be late.”

“Be careful on the road,” she whispered, adjusting her glasses, “Playing mysterious, how annoying.”
