“Haha! Just as I guessed! Sure enough, Yano Zenji won again. He can successfully advance to the Monte Carlo Open.”
“Hmph! What’s so great about guessing correctly?” Mina gave him a dismissive sideways glance, gathering her trash and preparing to head home.
“I’m more frustrated than proud now. If I had known, I would have placed a bet on the underground betting pool and won quite a bit of money,” Chuck said unhappily, taking the trash from Mina’s hand.
“This race was really exciting! If there were a few more drivers like Yano Zenji, I would definitely become a racing fan soon,” Xu Ai’er still sat in her seat, her face full of lingering excitement, her emotions still immersed in the just-concluded competition.
“Ladies, we’re about to leave. I’ll treat you to dinner at ‘Peach Pit’ tonight,” Chuck proposed enthusiastically.
“Great! You said it! You’re treating!” Mina and Xu Ai’er responded excitedly.
“Of course I’m treating!”
Peach Pit was a small fast-food restaurant near the school, popular among students. It was the kind of place that was cheap and served large portions, but every dish had excellent flavor and hadn’t compromised on quality despite its affordable prices.
“Chuck, thanks for the offer, but you guys go ahead,” Andolie grabbed her bag from her seat, looking like she was in a hurry to leave.
“Where are you going?” Mina asked in astonishment.
“I’m going somewhere to do a private matter,” Andolie’s green eyes sparkled as she said mysteriously, “A very, very private matter.”
Andolie left Mina and Xu Ai’er behind and came alone to the athletes’ rest area.
Arriving at the main entrance of the rest area, Andolie was stunned speechless by the crazy scene before her!
Outside the rest area, a large crowd of fans had already gathered, men and women alike. They were holding signs and colorful banners with passionate messages of support for the drivers, with Yano Zenji receiving the most support.
It seemed these die-hard fans didn’t know there was a secret passage at the back of the rest area leading to the athletes’ rest room. If these crazy female fans knew about it, the passage would surely be overwhelmed!
