The Trap of the Noble CEO

Reaching out to the pillow beside him and finding it empty, he immediately got out of bed to search for her traces. Only after hearing the sounds from the kitchen did he breathe a sigh of relief.

When he realized his concern for Andorli had exceeded his tolerance, Hanano Zenji couldn’t help but feel disgusted with himself.

“What are you doing?” his tone was calm, not wanting her to think their relationship had significantly changed because of last night.

“Good morning, I’m making breakfast. There are French donuts, tuna muffins, and chicken corn soup.” Andorli quickly turned around, smiling brightly at him, her pearl-like teeth shining in the morning light.

“Sounds great, but I wonder how it tastes?” Hanano Zenji entered the kitchen, sniffing around and discovering the smell was actually quite good.

“The taste is definitely top-notch,” Andorli’s expression turned proud. “Back when I was in school, my roommates would fight to eat the breakfast I made.”

“Let me try,” Hanano Zenji sat down and first cut a piece of tuna muffin.

To his surprise, Andorli’s cooking skills were quite good. The muffin melted in his mouth, with a rich milky fragrance that opened up memories he had long sealed away—

Hanano Zenji frowned, unwilling to recall the past.

“Is it not good?” Andorli looked worried.

“No, I just remembered—” Hanano Zenji smiled and shook his head: “Just remembered something.”

Andorli carefully asked, “Are you remembering your mom?”

Hanano Zenji nodded, “When I was young, our life wasn’t wealthy. My mom always liked to make a big muffin for me to have as breakfast and midnight snack.”

“Yes, I remember you mentioned that, so I wanted to help you relive childhood memories.”

“I didn’t have a childhood. I don’t need those memories.”

“From now on, you can experience things you didn’t experience as a child. Everyone should have a childhood; people without childhood become cruel,” Andorli spoke confidently.

Hanano Zenji reached out and tightly held her hand, deeply touched.

“Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.”

Andorli shyly lowered her head, saying nothing more.

Andorli’s heart stirred, a sweet feeling of being cared for and protected sliding through her heart, making her clearly realize that he could actually be gentle and considerate. Did this also mean he was willing to change for her?
