“Wake up, do you hear me? I saw you smile!” With a rough, angry tone, Yue Xiyi glared at this “plague.” He thought something terrible had happened and rushed her to the hospital, only to be told she had collapsed from extreme exhaustion, malnutrition, and weakness.
When Yue Xiyi heard the doctor’s diagnosis, he really wanted to vent his emotions with violence. Moreover, he was most angry that he couldn’t abandon the girl alone in the hospital and had stayed with her until now!
Yue Xiyi concluded that if the girl continued sleeping, he would lose a day’s hospital fees and his afternoon part-time work wages!
“Listen up, if you don’t wake up, I’m leaving! Sleep here as long as you want, but you’ll pay your own medical fees from now on!” Yue Xiyi stood up, feeling he had done enough good deeds.
“No… don’t…” Yu Yelan heard the angry voice that seemed to want to bite in her sleep and suddenly sat up in the hospital bed. Seeing that icy, angry face, her expression remained unchanged, coldly frozen. The golden flames in her blue eyes had already erupted, a fusion of ice and fire, contradictory and intense.
“Since you’re awake, I’m leaving. Remember to check out before noon, or you’ll pay new hospital fees! I won’t ask for yesterday’s fees – consider me unlucky!” Yue Xiyi grumbled, picked up his coat from beside the bed, and walked out.
“Don’t…” Yu Yelan’s mosquito-like voice went unheard. She quickly jumped out of bed, feeling slightly dizzy but much stronger than yesterday. Looking around the hospital room, she couldn’t find the white dress she originally wore. Yu Yelan didn’t want to lose it, but knowing she might lose track of the icy boy if she didn’t hurry, she chased after him in the striped patient’s uniform.
And so, Yu Yelan snuck out of the hospital, following Yue Xiyi through three streets.
Yue Xiyi continued walking, pretending not to notice the little tail behind him, hoping she would give up.
After walking three long streets, thunderous sounds suddenly filled the sky. Yu Yelan screamed and rushed under a roof’s eaves, hugging her shoulders and trembling.
Yue Xiyi finally lost patience.
