Fu’s father suddenly found himself at a loss for words, his anger slowly subsiding. Fu Yusen stood up and said calmly, “Take care of yourself. I’ll be very busy for a while and won’t be able to come back often.” He stepped out of the study, but as he was about to leave the villa, someone stopped him. Fu Yusen looked at Jiang’s mother in front of him, a trace of surprise flashing in his eyes. Jiang’s mother stood before Fu Yusen, her figure somewhat stooped. She was wearing the latest fashionable clothes, yet it couldn’t hide the weathered look on her face. The once beautiful woman had aged significantly in just half a month. Looking at her, Fu Yusen heard her say, “Yusen, could you please rewrite that check for me?”
