Yandere Begs for a Break – Part One

“It’s fine, I can wait,” Zhou Ying paused, then laughed, “Officer Tao, you’re like a little girl, needing to change before opening the door. Men don’t need to be so particular.”

While he was speaking, Tao Yu had already changed her clothes. Seeing Yue Linze still sitting on the bed, she pushed him into the bathroom, warning, “Don’t you dare come out.”

Yue Linze knew their relationship needed to be kept secret, but seeing Tao Yu so afraid of being discovered, especially by Zhou Ying, made him unhappy. It was as if he was something shameful in front of Zhou Ying.

“Did you hear me?!” Tao Yu frowned when he didn’t respond.

Yue Linze acknowledged with a sound and closed the door with a sullen face.

Tao Yu then hurriedly went to open the door, coming face to face with Zhou Ying’s swollen eyes that were barely open. She twitched her mouth, “Feeling better?”

“Not bad, nothing I can’t get over,” Zhou Ying forced a smile, his emotions still relatively stable.

Tao Yu nodded and asked, “What brings you here?”

“I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d come talk to you and help you with the program,” Zhou Ying sighed, then seeing Tao Yu’s helpless expression, added carefully, “Am I interrupting your rest? I just wanted to help with your program…”

He hadn’t slept properly for days, and today he finally made it to dawn, deciding to find something to do, which is why he came to find Tao Yu.

“… No, I’ll go wash up, and we’ll talk downstairs,” Tao Yu saw he meant well and didn’t know what else to say.

Zhou Ying made himself at home and sat down, “I’ll wait here.”

Tao Yu hadn’t noticed him come in, and kicking him out now would seem odd. She laughed awkwardly, then her gaze immediately fell on Yue Linze’s pants on the floor, “…”

“By the way, Officer Tao…” Zhou Ying sat down facing Tao Yu’s bed.

“Ah!” Tao Yu called out, successfully drawing his attention.

Zhou Ying was confused, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, I think I twisted my ankle,” Tao Yu forced a smile, her gaze darting to the broom in the corner, “Could you pass me the broom? I want to use it as a crutch.”
