“There’s absolutely nothing happening. Please stop overthinking,” Tao Yu said, pinching his face and squeezing past him. After a simple wash, she wiped her face and left.
“Dr. Zhou, let’s go,” Tao Yu said with a smile.
Zhou Ying looked at her hesitantly. Tao Yu’s heart skipped a beat, thinking he might have noticed something from her previous actions.
“What’s wrong?” she asked with an awkward laugh.
“Officer Tao…” Zhou Ying sighed, “Did I come too early and disturb your rest?”
Tao Yu breathed a sigh of relief and put on a smile. “It’s fine, let’s go.” She then urged Zhou Ying out.
Just as they reached the door, a loud noise came from the bathroom. Tao Yu thought something was wrong and before she could stop him, Zhou Ying had already rushed to the door and pushed it open.
In the bathroom, Yue Linze stood calmly wearing only a top, next to a broken sink.
Zhou Ying exclaimed, “What are you doing here?!”
Yue Linze looked sincerely at Tao Yu and asked, “Do you believe me if I say this broke by itself?”
