“Not honest?” The housekeeper was surprised. “Miss Tao seems quite frank. How is she not honest? Or is there a problem with her identity that you’ve just discovered?”

“It’s not an identity issue. It’s something between her and me,” Yue Linze didn’t want to elaborate, and his face already showed signs of irritation.

Hearing it wasn’t an identity problem, the housekeeper felt relieved but more confused. He thought for a moment and cautiously said: “Although I know it’s not my place to say this, I want to remind you that restricting Miss Tao’s personal freedom probably won’t solve any problems.”

This was the first time the young master was in a relationship, and he was worried about more extreme behaviors, so he had to speak up.

“You may go,” Yue Linze, unsure if he had listened, gave an order and continued signing documents.

The housekeeper solemnly said: “Yes, sir.” He then left with worry.

After the housekeeper left, Yue Linze stared at the two characters ‘Tao Yu’ that he had just signed on the document, falling into a silent trance.

Some lies might seem real when not closely scrutinized, but once attention is focused, one would discover the countless holes in them.   But he didn’t care; he would wait patiently. Only when the liar turns the lie into truth would he give her the freedom she wanted.   And before that, all he wanted to do was keep her imprisoned by his side.   Dialing the internal line of the landline, after the other party picked up, Yue Linze coldly said: “Resend a contract.”
