Tao Yu blinked, taking a moment to react. She shifted her stool, moving closer to Yue Linze, then reached out to pick up the bowl. To set the stage for the following plot, she awkwardly held the bowl for a while before hesitantly picking it up.
Fully demonstrating how inconvenient the chain was, she scooped some porridge and brought it to Yue Linze’s mouth. Yue Linze calmly ate it, making no comment about her previous inconvenience.
Tao Yu had never expected him to understand on his own, so she fed him without any obstacles. One feeding, one eating, neither of them spoke, and soon the bowl was empty.
“Are you done eating?” Tao Yu asked, seeing Yue Linze nod. She immediately put down the bowl and spoon, looking at him expectantly, “Since you’re done, let’s go for a walk.”
Yue Linze glanced at her, silently standing up. Tao Yu immediately stood up too, about to offer her right hand when she saw him sit down again in a different spot and take out a book to read.
Tao Yu “…” How disappointing.
She unenthusiastically walked over and squatted next to Yue Linze, holding his leg pitifully, “If we’re not going for a walk, can you help me remove this? I’m tied up so uncomfortably. Can you help me?”
Expecting to guess Yue Linze’s thoughts to regain her freedom would mean the chain might never come off, so she could only try using her feminine charms.
If it worked.
Yue Linze ignored her, continuing to read his book. However, Tao Yu was not easily discouraged. She hugged his leg and gently shook it, whining about how difficult her day had been.
Under these circumstances, even Yue Linze, skilled at multitasking, could not focus on his book.

He closed the book with a cold face. Tao Yu immediately sat properly, as if she hadn’t been the one disturbing him.
“Continue reading… I’ll stop…” Tao Yu laughed awkwardly, sitting a bit further away, afraid that the unresolved chain might worsen his temper.
Yue Linze put the book aside and leaned towards her. Tao Yu looked at him, puzzled. The next second, a gentle breath touched her lips. The breath quickly disappeared, and by the time she reacted, Yue Linze had already sat back. She unconsciously touched her lips.
