“What else? Since you’re awake, take your medicine.” Yue Linze frowned and sat on the bed’s edge, handing her the medicine.
Tao Yu’s mouth twitched. His serious expression made her think he had more to say, but it was just a fever—
She thought this world had a defense mechanism that would prevent an outsider like her from getting seriously ill.

Yue Linze looked at her deeply. “It’s my fault.” If he hadn’t been reckless today, she wouldn’t have fallen ill.

Yue Linze remained silent. Tao Yu, not fully recovered, felt even more tired after taking the medicine. She patted Yue Linze’s hand and lay down to rest.
“Sleep, I’ll be here with you,” Yue Linze said softly.
Tao Yu nodded, closing her eyes peacefully, with Yue Linze’s figure even appearing in her dreams.
