Yandere Begs for a Break – Part Three

“…Oh, thank you, Mr. Yue.” Recognizing she wasn’t a professional, Tao Yu wisely kept quiet.

They fell silent, sitting quietly in the room. Yue Linze remained calm throughout, while Tao Yu felt restless, her mind full of the recent awkward incident.

Just as she was hesitating whether to break the silence, a knock came at the door. She unconsciously sighed in relief. Yue Linze glanced at her and went to open the door.

When the door opened, the doctor was stunned to see Yue Linze, then smiled and greeted: “Hello, Mr. Yue.”

Yue Linze, seeing it was the man who had been chatting with Tao Yu downstairs, subtly frowned. The doctor, noticing Yue Linze’s delay in letting him in, couldn’t help but remind: “Mr. Yue?”

Yue Linze glanced at him and turned back, leaving the doctor more puzzled, feeling that Mr. Yue seemed to have something against him.

Curious about why it took so long to open the door, Tao Yu was craning her neck when Yue Linze returned. She quickly sat up straight and saw the doctor behind him, her eyes lighting up: “Weren’t you going to do surgery?”

“Just finished. After the housekeeper’s call, I came right away. How are you? How did you get injured so quickly after I left?” the doctor asked familiarly.

Tao Yu sighed, saying sheepishly: “Don’t mention it. I accidentally bumped into something.”

The doctor laughed, with a hint of teasing but still friendly. Tao Yu rolled her eyes but said nothing.

They chatted and discovered the young doctor was quite knowledgeable about psychology and had applied to an American research institute, waiting for news. With similar ages and backgrounds, they quickly became friends with plenty to discuss.

Yue Linze sat calmly on the sofa nearby, listening to their conversation without any emotion. Only when the doctor approached Tao Yu’s knee with an alcohol swab did he coldly say: “You can go now.”

“Ah?”

“What?”

Both looked at Yue Linze in confusion. His fingers paused on the sofa, slowly saying: “Dr. Tao looks quite spirited and doesn’t seem to have a fracture. If so, just treat the wound yourself.”

Tao Yu: “…”

Who was the one insisting on calling a professional just moments ago?
