Tao Yu shuddered, sitting on the bed for a while before sighing and lying down. The aftereffects of the anesthetic had not completely dissipated, and she fell asleep as soon as she lay down.
When she woke again, it was already dark outside. Her head was dizzy from sleeping, and her stomach was growling. After spacing out for a while, she went to the bathroom to freshen up. While brushing her teeth, she suddenly felt nauseous and vomited violently into the sink, her limbs going weak.
“Could the anesthetic have side effects?” she muttered to herself, looking at her suddenly haggard reflection in the mirror, unable to stop shivering.
After recovering, she went downstairs and saw only the housekeeper in the living room, asking: “Where is Mr. Yue?”
“Good morning, madam. The master has gone to the company. He has fallen behind on too much work and may have to work overtime,” the housekeeper said gently.
Tao Yu nodded, not commenting on the change in address, ate dinner and went upstairs. After waiting most of the night without seeing him, she had to go to sleep first.

Tao Yu opened her eyes to see a black shadow beside her, almost crying out in fright. Yue Linze’s face darkened: “Are you that unwilling to see me?”
“…No, I just didn’t expect you to be here,” she realized that Yue Linze seemed to have become sensitive to everything since his identity was exposed.
Yue Linze didn’t know if he believed her or not, glanced at her and said flatly: “We’re getting the marriage certificate today. Get up quickly.”
“Today?” Tao Yu was surprised. This was too sudden.
Yue Linze frowned: “Your objection is useless. It must be today.” He had asked the housekeeper to check the almanac, and today was the best day.
