Yandere Begs for a Break – Part Three

After feeling the soft touch in his palm, Yue Linze’s smile became even happier, his starry eyes curving into a dazzling arc. Although everything happened so quickly that it was hard to react, and although they had technically only met this alternate personality twice, Tao Yu couldn’t help but laugh seeing him so happy.

Yue Linze pulled her hand and walked out, and soon started running, with onlookers laughing at his impatience, but without any malice in their eyes. Tao Yu’s gaze swept across the faces around her, and because of her veil, the goodwill emanating from these people gave her an unreal feeling.

This feeling flashed by, and Yue Linze stopped before a fine horse, hesitating before asking, “Can I take you horseback riding?” Holding her hand gave him an indescribable excitement, and he didn’t want to let go.

Tao Yu paused, her gaze sweeping to the sedan chair behind him. She gave him an amused look and was about to speak when she felt herself being grabbed by the waist, and the next second she was lifted onto the horse, with Yue Linze immediately mounting behind her.

Feeling something supporting her back, Tao Yu immediately leaned back without ceremony, noticing his slight bodily stiffness, and curved her lips: “I don’t seem to have agreed yet?”

“…I guess you’ll agree,” Yue Linze muttered, his presence not entirely confident. After his impulsive action, he was somewhat worried about making Tao Yu angry, as they had just met, and he wondered if she might find him too forward.

As he was thinking this, the corners of his mouth slowly sank. Before he could apologize, Tao Yu laughed, “Well, you guessed right.”

“Hm?” Yue Linze was stunned, and after understanding her meaning, he laughed, immediately cracking the horse whip and charging forward. After the horse began to gallop, Tao Yu shifted slightly, finding a more comfortable position on him and settling in, though her waist still ached, it was within tolerable limits.

The horse galloped forward, and Tao Yu gripped a bit of the reins to balance herself. Yue Linze looked at her multiple times, wanting to speak, and finally couldn’t help but softly say, “If you’re scared, you can hold my hand.”
