“Exhausted. Let’s rest early tonight,” Yue Ze spoke slowly.
Tao Yu nodded, “You too, rest early.”
Yue Ze responded, his fingers moving, and finally cupped her face, gently kissing her forehead, whispering, “Good night.”
Tao Yu laughed and saw him out, but the moment the door closed, her smile disappeared. Tonight, they both deliberately avoided talking about Yue Lin. She was afraid she couldn’t explain, and Yue Ze was probably afraid of hearing something he didn’t want to hear.
